It amuses me how many people are ranting that "she doesn't care about the ball boy." Where does she claim she cares about the ball boy?? There are rules about throwing your racket, smashing your racket, arguing with officials etc that ALL players are subject too. She's arguing that ostapenko has committed a racket infringement, that is really serious, because it ended up hitting a ball boy. Do I think she should have argued about it so much and got distracted and emotional about it? No, she shouldn't have. But all this straw man bullshit that she's supposedly "pretending to care" about the ball boy is nonsense.
@bjornlangoren3002

Years later when I need a laugh, I come back to this video. “You hit the ballboy with your racquet!!!” 😹

The annoying thing is none of the footage shows whether the ballboy was actually hit with the racquet or not? If he was hit its disqualification. If he wasn't hit its a caution.

My assessment: PINK was the total loser. PURPLE lost a point and out of frustration, she accidentally let go of her racket, which flew over towards the ball boy. (PURPLE's eyes weren't even on the ball boy.) But PINK sensed she could capitalize on this opportunity and have her opponent disqualified. And if not that, distract her opponent so badly as PINK was about to serve. if there was any unsportsmanlike behavior displayed here, it was from PINK.

Very humble lady. No way she threw the racquet at the ball boy. The line judge was out of line.

She didn't throw it at the ball boy, she was trying to toss it under the tennis ball.
