That was satisfying to see. I used to train in the same gym as Balart when I first started and he was one of those dudes that pretty much fought every sparring session. He fought kinda dirty too, he’d try to put people in headlocks doesn’t let go, once saw him push a training partner into the fan, overall a pretty shitty training partner that a lot of people avoided, he eventually got kicked out and I haven’t seen him until this KO

@@fh.7287 I think the fact it was in a ring makes it distracting and easier to tell when they are tiny because you can measure it based on ring ropes. If they were in a cage/octagon, there wouldn't really be a way to contrast their height to the background. I just felt like I was watching a midget tournament. But great fighters they both are and true dedication and hard work to get to where they are.

@@bathpu7023 I get it. But, when someone is pounding you for a few rounds, you’ll have lots pent up in you too. Many times this happens, in longer fights. But, he barely tapped him in the end. I’ve seen much worse

I know its effective and perfectly valid as a strategy, but the constant clinching and takedown attempts makes the fight less fun to watch. Whole lot of standing and struggling. I was rooting for Balart to lose by the middle.

As short as he is I think if he worked on his footwork to setup strikes like in Karate he could be more effective. Especially since his center of gravity would allow him to do some athletic slides and get in great position.
