I am not sure but I think it was Cameron Buckner who mentioned your channel with positive comments, so I figured I'd give you a listen. Cam was right, your channel is a good one. I am glad he helped me find you. I've listened to nearly all of his posts and of course I also listened to all the Steve Lilly story so many times I've lost count, I know it's more than 10 times all the way through. So, I subscribed to your channel. I needed someone as mellow and smooth speaking because I, too, use these stories to go to sleep. I have a disease that causes chronic wide spread pain that is never ending. I hate taking pain meds, but there is little choice and I take as little of my medication as I can get away with, without crying and rocking. Having told you that is for a reason. I wanted to let you know how amazing your voice is. I pulled up one of your marathon lists, started listening, and before I knew it, pain was less as I concentrated on your stories and voice, thus I was able to slip off to sleep. So far, there were only 2 channels that enabled me to do this, Cam's Dixie Cryptid channel and Chris's Base Camp Chris channel. Now I have a third channel, yours! I live in the boondocks of upstate/central New York state in a tiny town called Freeville. (It is the only Freeville in the whole world, look it up if you like) Nance, THANK YOU for your help with muting or dulling my pain. You are a breath of fresh air. I needed to find you. I have listened to the other two's stories over and over I practically have some of them memorized word for word. I am excited that I now have a plethora of ,NEW to me, stories to listen to for pain relief. The fewer meds I take, the happier I am. Take care Nance and again Thank You, just call me Boondocks Rosey! LOL Rosey will really do!

Wow. What a comment! I'm thankful I'm able to ease your pain. I have had many family and friends suffering from differing forms of chronic pain, and I know it is no joke. I know it is very real - and very debilitating. Cam is just the nicest person, I have to say. I have met him and his lovely wife a few times at a convention. I will be sure to thank him again for sending wonderful listeners my way. I agree that less meds is always better if you can manage it, and I know that sometimes it just isn't possible. I'm so very glad you have found this channel and I'm happy to have you in the Sass-Squad of listeners. Welcome - make yourself at home. You'll find mostly everyone is pretty nice here. - - -Nance

The more of these stories that I listen to, the more convinced I am that if it's all true, they must be treated with respect. When I was a kid we moved to a very rural place and it was literally crawling with venomous snakes. My Father explained to my brother and I that these snakes belonged there. And if we were going to share the land with them we had a choice. We could either fear them or develop a respect for them. He told us either one could keep us safe. But fear was the lesser of the two. Respect, he said, meant we had to learn all about them in order to coexist with them without it developing into hatred. Respect was better because we would find many things that we appreciated about them and we would want them to live as they wished. He said that, if we were lucky, we might be smarter than them and realize that the bulk of the responsibility lay on our shoulders to do most of the thinking. He explained that respect means something different to every being you will deal with and it takes time, patience, and experimentation to discover what it means for each creature. He was right about respecting any creature you share a space with. And that respect is very different from fear. In the end, we learned to be just like any other creature in that forest. I suspect that dealing with these people or beings would be no different. There are doubtlessly exceptions. But, likely, just like the worst of us, they've been mistreated before. Sometimes you have to make tough decisions in those cases. But taking a life isn't as easy as some people think. It should be a last resort. Just my opinion, though. And, I don't claim any sort of knowledge about these creatures.

Absolutely LOVE this comment! Our intellect requires us to be more moral, more responsible and more aware of how everything fits together. I truly believe that we are meant to be caretakers of this land. Instead we have become a virus that is destroying this world and everything in it. Please wake up and stop making everything about us, about you, and we all need to start being a benefit to this world not a massive destructive self centered liability.❤❤❤

I thought I would share an experience I had today! We were camping in the Everglades at the Flamingo Campground. We decided to hike a nearby trail. The trail itself, was about 45 minutes one way. It was my husband, me and my 10 year old son. About 3/4 of the way we heard 2 loud wood knocks. I picked up a large fallen branch and did a knock back. Crickets. No more knocks. We continued on and finished the trail, which ended at a body of water. Around a creek, connected to the body of water, we observed foot prints deep in the mud. The prints went up and down the creek and disappeared into the swamp. I wouldn’t say they were particularly large, about the size you would expect from a man. You could clearly see the toe imprints. This definitely made me suspicious 🤨, but you never know in Florida. There are Florida Man adventures abound everyday. We started the walk back down the trail. Near the same area of the trail we heard a knock previously, we now heard. a weird hoot sound. Like an owl 🦉 but not an owl. It’s hard to explain. I asked my husband if he heard that? He said yes but kept shrugging 🤷‍♀️ everything off when I pointed it out. My son on the other hand was getting scared and rushing us to hurry along. After 5 more minutes of walking I heard a grunt sound come from the right side of the trail, opposite the side where the owl sound and wood knock came from. My son heard it and grabbed on to my side and told me he was scared and didn’t like this trail one bit. After ten minutes of walking I thought, ok we are good now. Haven’t heard anything for a bit. Then suddenly we came across a horrible smell. Like a skunk and sewage. It smelled terrible. I felt at that moment we were being watched. I was really scared at any moment a skunkape was going to jump out of the trees and reveal itself. Thank god that is not what happened. We picked up our steps and finally made it back to the main road, where our car was waiting. Even as we back up and drive away, I felt like we were being watched. I don’t think I will walk here again. We walked this trail in the morning, around 9:30 AM. I would like to add that we had walked this same trail just a couple of months ago, and didn’t experience anything out of the normal that time.

I have lived my entire life in Ohio and have frequented the woods as long as I remember...often at night and alone. I dig the peace and solitude. With that said; I've seen and experienced many cool things...some of which I still cannot explain. I'm a rational man but one experience in particular leads me to one conclusion. I happened to not be alone on this particular occasion. It stands out in my mind to this day. I've been all over Ohio and I can tell you...our woods still hide many secrets.

Hi I lived in Sainte Francois of Madeweska in New Brunswick right across the St. Johns river. In 1989- 1990 a group of us four adults and four children were picking some type of nuts. I separated, only a short distance from the gang. Pretty much just around the corner from them. Suddenly I started smelling a pungent wet dog smell and felt fear that I never felt before. I sensed something behind me to my left in the woods on the other side of the narrow trail. I never heard a sound. It was the fear I felt, like nothing I ever felt before that was terrifying. I did not look behind me. I took off and caught up to our small group with no further incident. Fear and odor gone. Soundless. I never ever thought Sasquatch until I began listening to the stories of others. Thank you for your awesome podcasts.

I'm from down state although I have visited your area plenty of times. I'm almost 50 and have spent most of my life kicking around the woods camping and such. I have never once heard any stories about the big guy I all the camp fires and camp cribbage games and all the talk that goes with it. It always struck me as odd since we have so much wilderness. I wonder how many encounters were chalked up to something else. Like you people didn't think much about odd things that happen in the woods. I even have a story about a few screams we heard while camping that we chalked up to a screech owl.

I agree with the first person’s encounter. These aren’t ppl that live by civilized rules. Natives and many others have witnessed plethora accounts. Never should encourage or be around something one doesn’t truly know what it is, and ppl don’t. These beings are other. Some may be more docile but they’re more beast and other than anything and mood can change. Opportunists. Natives and other’s countless claims throughout history shouldn’t be ignored, they called man eaters for a reason. Also targeted children and women bc they’re easier prey.

Here is what i think i know about a creature we know very little about . 1 they are 5 star rated super predator. 2 they are able to use more than 10% of their brain as we do , much more perhapps 75 % enabling them cloak , teletransport , move freely from one dimension to another , shape shift limited only by their imagination, seen one turn into a tree took 30 seconds to complete that task ,with all details included 3 they have serious issues with inbreeding , A medium said they told her and she is very intuitive, their males go through a sexualdrive lasting 2 weeks twice in their youth, will screw anything not nailed down, mother , sister, daughter, HUMAN FEMALE. when this happens the others take the young male 20 miles from nearest dirt road much less hard road, some have escaped and done the wrong thing. 4. these beast are completely wild and act on instinct only , throughout their history with us we always end up trying to completely eradicate them, the last time was in INDIA a few centuries ago, a new ruler came into power his first orders were for his troops to kill everyone of them while they slept , he gave no pacific reason why. apparently some escaped, at that time in history man and sasquatch were some what friendly toward one another 5 . sasquatch is the laziest creature i personally have ever seen considering they are basically much smarter than humans but have no drive for accomplishing anything but wood structures that they pull energy from making them super predators. Over the years i personally have witnessed these beast doing feats of strength that should be completely impossible , they can enter your dream state and interact with you, they mind speak read thoughts or intentions, they read and write english, but fail to mention this until 10 years or so roll by. Our gov secretly tells us they are all cannibals, wage war against one another late at night deep in the forest , the losers always get eaten this has been seen by surveillance satellites, apparently several miles up they do not know they are being watched, they relish a child's liver as a desert, and if i were a betting man i would put everything on the sasquatch people stealing our people from federal parks and state parks, these monsters are a result of some intelligent beings creating these super predators, there is no way they evolved this way, when asked about their history it is always different story , 45 years allows me to say i would not trust them with nothing we have learned all we are going to learn from them , i am reasonably certain that these monsters are in fact real living DEMONS and are gathering their troops for some big future event. Right now we are fairly certain there are around 100,000 thousand in the united states alone. Scott Carpenter has known for quite some time what they are, he is as close to a living expert as we can get, he has written 7 books , all of them are must reads , As i sit here reading this back for errors i can not help but think a person who is uneducated in this subject must think that i am off my rocker, for those people i honestly wish i was completely wrong. A man i once admired for his wit and insight said It is much easier to lie to the masses then to tell the masses they have all been lied to. Mark Twain

One observation - when deer are being chased near a road they will try and lead thier pursuers infront of oncoming traffic to obviously get rid of them, I've seen them do this with my dogs, deer ain't stupid! This has turned up a few times in your stories - deer running across a road, followed by a bigfoot. .....deer are smart, but bigfoot is smarter! Love your stories. :)

I have to say that we do look different than the remaining animal life and like so many think they have such a human in their appearance when seen live, they must see the value shared when they look at us. This doesn't mean they wouldn't, rather that it's not their first thought, unless they're starving. Expect the desired, we are all creating our own reality. Best Wellbeing ... 😘

HAY WATER BOY!!!! Check it out, you need 5 gallon buckets for water. The biggest male in the family that came to our hog farm was at lest 14 foot tall. A 5 gallon bucket of hog guts was like a coffee mug to this guy. At 6 foot, I stood next to him and I felt like a toddler next to him. I felt I could get stepped on if he wasn't careful around me. Young family groups will frequently come around until boundaries are built. They could be giving you something in return without you noticing. You have to pay attention to every little thing, as small as a marble. But truthfully if they feel that it should not be caged, they will take it, just a heads up. Another thing, when the child seems to be hanging very close, not straying far, you my friend are babysitting. Keep company short, don't discuss it with no one. Keep the babysitting stuff silent when it is at your home. I have had the task of keeping things safe for the little one while camping. I would rather have them around than any other critters that can be around. I hope you get to read the comments and meet others that lived rather safe and insightful life with the Wild People in their thoughts and prayers.

When I go into the forest, swamp or wilderness areas I plant nuts and Fruit trees and in my older years of 60 not to good of a fast run but only can manage a fast jog my incounters of Bear are more concerning as it would be more likely to be attacked by a Bear than Bigfoot ...what might have been encounters of bigfoot noises and tree knocks and pebbles thrown even one hit me in my chest as I was looking down ...but only a few times did it scare me... When I was about 5 our home was in Saint Elmo Alabama in the swamps and land around Mobile bay ...we saw one about the size of 6 foot or so we didn't know of bigfoot in 1965 besides if that was what we saw it must of been a juvenile but had climbed high in a tree above the swamp watching us watching it intently I called it a monkey man my brother called it the Boogerman .. even though as a grown up now felt a presence in the woods I'd leave a gift for hunting or passage so as to give omnage to what ever spirit or creature was there and haven't ever been harmed I think to that planting fruit and nut trees berries that it is away of giving back to nature for the permission of use of the Forrest.... So yes there are things in the National Forrest that can kill and eat you weather they are cryptic or not.

Thank you Mary. I really like your site. You do a great job. Just a note to the Not-a-squatch-snack author, You probably eat meat. You also saw that the Squatch eats meat. That doesn't mean he was going to eat you. The Squatch obviously didn't go after you when it saw you. Try to tell your story without all your fears woven into it. Just my observation, I wasn't there. Thanks for telling your story.

It's funny that people say if they are real why are there hardly any encounters. People don't report when ridiculed and how many more stories are out there. Though with people wear go pros these days you would think there is more footage of them. Keep it up

It’s all part of the paranormal spectrum, I truly think. No real definitive proof of ghosts either. I’ve had some, “odd,” encounters in the woods that I’m sure we’re Sabi and have experienced all kinds of ghost related things, intelligently communicating with me even! But could NEVER, capture it on film or if I did, the file would corrupt somehow or the resulting clip would be useless in proving anything without a doubt anyways. I know after 48yrs of living my paranormal life since 4y/o, skeptics get old and you just get to the point you don’t bother wasting your energy anymore. Sad but true. People that don’t want to see, rarely do. But I see a flicker of hope in you so with the anonymity of UKposts, it’s easier for me to share. Shoulda seen me trying to get messages through to my BFF that had deceased family! It took a long time but her family is thankfully a persistent lot and had to do things like; unexplained guitar pics in random places, an expensive grandmother clock that still doesn’t work after no matter what the parts replaced, will still bong at random times, pendulum swinging, hands never move. And the most recent was a container that just hopped off the counter and landed in my lap. Right in front of her too. Her family helped prove there’s more to life than what we see and they’re all there on the other side. She just kinda chuckles now but it took a long time to win her over, almost cost us our friendship! She’s an old school Catholic and to that church, ALL ghosts are demons. Whatever happened to, “The Father, The Son, and the Holy Ghost?” Hopefully someday it will all make sense to us and in the meantime, keep your eyes up cause I’ve seen the demons too. And I’ll be damned sure not to spend eternity with them. And our Sabis are not demons, they’re the protectors of our land and every now and then, they gotta make sure we know that. God Bless you and Merry Christmas. ❤️🇨🇦
