I admire that Bill is standing up for free speech and using diverse guest selection to demonstrate how things should be.

Shout out to Bill for allowing multiple view points on his show. Everyone must be open to ideas they don’t typically support if we hope to heal as a nation.

Bills attitude in this is actually refreshing, he IS acknowledging what Ted is saying and KINDA on purpose not arguing because he just might agree. But, he can't just gush over what he is saying because it's Ted Cruz. Oh wow, I just realized they could both go to the border and it could be called Bill and Ted's excellent border adventure, haha.

Overtime - should go for at least 30 minutes. It's a great segment! It always seems too short... Good questions and answers..

This is what I missed seeing on National TV - people from different spectrums of belief and having conversations and even having respectful debate. It’s sad that we no longer see this type of round table discussion anymore 😢

The problem with this show and having different viewpoints is there is simply not enough time to hash out each of the topics raised by Bill in such short amount of time. Each of those topics could have been a great 15-30 min conversation

As a Scandinavian I don't think it's "happiness" they're measuring, it's more "lack-of-misery" or maybe just gratitude. We don't have to worry about going bankrupt if we get sick, we're not going to end up homeless if we get laid off because we have a welfare safety net etc. I think it comes down to us having less stress.

We need more of this. Put people with opposing political views, and smart people, in one room and let them talk, exchange ideas. Great things happen that way.

I would like to see more discussions like this in America.

I watched Bill Weekly for years. Great mind, excellent show. Had to shut it down and tune out social media for a year for RL. Now I’m back and this was the first one I’ve watched since. If you asked me who would never be on the show sitting next to Bill, and it would be a bet of a million bucks, I’d say never Texas Cruz. Now I’m honestly dumbfounded on how this even became possible. I’m honestly shocked, speechless. How could this have even happened. Did the CNN take over somehow take away bills power to make decisions as to who shows up? Was this strategic? Was it because he’s running for president and 1st amendment rights were tossed around quietly. Can someone from CNN respond. I would like to know if possible.

Hey, how about asking Cruz why the Chinese are allowed to buy American farmland as well as land in watersheds, and isn't it strange that they are most interested in areas close to strategic military facilities? This really seems more important than anything else. How about putting this to the American people in some kind of ballot initiative?

Yeah, even as a proud Scandinavian I am constantly puzzled by surveys that claim that we're the happiest people in the world. It's like, dude... have you ever MET a Swede? If one of us isn't acting slightly depressed all the time, we think that there must be something wrong with him! 😛

I really appreciate what Bill brings to the world, conversations with people who you disagree with. Jordan Peterson said a while back the world needs both conservatives and liberals, and we need to keep talking.

THIS is the type of discourse Democrats and Republicans should be having. Both parties could learn a lot from this. We need to keep in mind that it's the extremists or hardliners on both sides that prevent agreement. Unfortunately, they're also the ones getting the most attention.

why is rahpael never asked about his immigration when his cuban dad brought him from canada (not born here) and 'forgot' to file the legal papers so he really wasn't a legal citizen until he was already an elected official and then they had to back date the 'oversight' ..

The last few years have been nuts. I've voted blue my entire life, but the other side of the aisle is making a lot of good points. Ted getting rounds of applause speaks volumes.

Fantastic Bill. EVERY human on earth should hear this line & understand Bill's intended meaning: "This is the problem with people saying, you know; God talked to me. He didn't. You talked to him. He didn't answer. Those are called 'THOUGHTS'."

If you don't write down your thoughts and look at and examine what you've written, how do you really know what you believe? It sounds weird at first. But when you start examining what you've written and begin editing, you start self correcting and getting closer to what you actually believe. Writing is an excellent way to determine what your real beliefs are.

Love the ending about thinking, talking and writing. I agree! It also reminds me of a joke we used to say back in communist Czechoslovakia, that goes something like this: Never pay attention to what’s happening. If you do, don’t think about it. If you do, don’t talk about it. If you do, don’t write about it. If you do, never, ever sign it. If you do, don’t be surprised. Unfortunately, we now live in a society where an old communist-era joke is understood by people. I look back with nostalgia when I would tell Canadians a political joke originated in an East Bloc country, and they would just say ‘huh?’

It's so nice that there is actually a chance for Jordan to speak unlike most shows he's been on where it's basically just him by himself getting cut off, misinterpreted/words taken out of context, being accused of things he didn't say, and basically just being "bullied" by the rest of the people on the show who want to just shut him down over every single thing he says. And I know Jordan can regularly be a little long winded because he needs to add as much context to what he's talking about as he can, and his thought process is a smidge jumbled at times because talking about one thing quickly can make him skip over something that is important that he realises he might have passed over which causes him to go back to it, which doesn't work well in shows that have tight time slots, but it's important for the broader discussion of the topics he's passionate about.

THIS is a great post!!! Seeing Conservatives and liberals have a conversation, not a fight, but a conversation and a laugh is refreshing!! Oh, and Ted Cruz is my guy I'm from Texas!

These people sound so normal and intelligent. And then you see that their actions bear very little resemblance to their words.
