It’s not American anymore. The company moved to Europe. Americans can’t deliver what Europeans can. Company spokesman said that German and Dutch workers are more skilled in modern technologies like carbon composite materials. The company is located in Holland now and flourishes as never before. This was the last US yacht shipbuilder that closes it doors. Also Trinity Yachts closed it’s doors. America really need some skilled workers that can work with modern materials and technologies. Also Boeing gets hit because of that issue and Tesla schedules a new factories in Germany and China. So, America first? Nope, maybe 20 years ago. It’s running far behind now. The world is evolving and the US is at a standstill because they are blinded by governmental foolishness. When you want to protect your own market, you are actually selling your companies to the rest of the world. It’s a sad story

Actually they're relocating to the Netherlands, like so many other companies when liberals are in charge. Many yachts are not available for purchase here in the US. Because of extreme over regulations imposed by liberal Democrats. @ Brick Actually the US has only one Yacht builder for really big yachts, Christensen. And a lot of smaller outfits like Burger, Sunseeker, Friendship and Trinity. Who make big boats but not near as big. Most U.S. builders build smaller yachts, companies like Sea Ray, Mastercraft, Johnson and Starcraft. The really big yachts, and the best renown come from Europe, Feadship, Oceanco, Heesen, and Amels in the Netherlands, Blohm and Voss, and Lurssen in Germany, Benetti in Italy etc.

B.S.! They are closing because of a lack of quality subcontractors and suppliers(because these companies cannot find skilled workers). If a company has to import up to 90% of the parts they need to build a yacht from Europe, it’s a wise decision to move closer to your suppliers. All the big players are located in Europe. So are are the suppliers. Trump won’t change anything about that.
