To clear up any confusion, these tanks were added to fill holes in the German tech tree (at a time when things like the base Leopard 1 and T-54 (1951) were the Top Tier). Then as the timeline of the game kept expanding, this 7.0-8.0 range became less important and some holes could be filled in with other vehicles that were more modern, but similarly capabme overall, there was no longer a need to have these gap fillers, which is when they were hidden from the tech tree. For anyone pointing to comparisons with vehicoes from other nations in a similar position, it's gonna depend on a lot of factors. For one Gaijin's philosophy is bound to have changed over these many years, but also consider whether vehicles like the R2Y2 or Ho-Ri production have had their gaps filled by something similar enough to make them removable? If so, hey, maybe they're next on the chopping block. Though I wouldn't hold my breath for that. I don't have a horse in this race anyway as a proud owner of a Panther II, a Tiger II 10.5 and roughly 28 research points on a Maus (I'll get to it eventually I swear).

The Tiger II 10.5cm is not an E-75, it was a rejected proposal to fit a 105mm gun into the Tiger II, it was never built and isn'teven physically possible using a standard Tiger II turret. E-75 never even had a completed design it was just a basic hull shape and suspension layout. Panther II is a 1943 project that effectively died the same year and was officially cancelled in 1944.
