I’m sure most of us would... but there will always be the lack of pride. If I were to be a supermodel, I would definitely want to work my way, bottom to top. So one day I can look back and say that I was able to accomplish that by my hard work and not by my last name. Kendall has probably used her family’s name to her advantage, and thats why I feel like she’s not as happy as she could be. Idk? Sorry this was so long

I love seeing her confidence grow, and you see it in her walk. I've read some comments where people make fun of her expression. Runway models are trained to purposely keep their expressions neutral. I think she is really lovely.

I feel like the iconic 80s/ 90s supermodels had the job to serve the clothing, the personality, the fantasy! The catwalk was fierce, was different, they gave so many great moments creating this fantasy of glamour with brands that once were good like Versace, Chanel, Saint Laurent, Mugler it's not like that anymore

i just watched bella hadid's runway evolution and i saw people bringing kendall saying that she didn't improve at all and stuff comparing to bella so i came here and i just have to agree. Bella really improved and i feel like she's got that supermodel face yk. ofc i have literally no experience so my opinions are probably the least accurate but yeah- kendall is freaking beautiful but i kind of understand why people are complaining that she's the highest paid model lol, her catwalk has changed a little while bella really improved and she's able to make even the weirdest creation so fancy sksksk i stan. She’s the “highest paid model” on every list, because her entire net worth is high. This is not only from modeling, but other endeavors like Keeping up with the Kardashians, clothing lines, makeup collabs with her sister etc. Everyone has a heart attack when they see her as number 1 on highest paid lists because they think she’s getting paid more than any other model, but she’s making money from many different sources. Modeling does pay her a lot though, because she is very famous and brings brands more attention, whether it’s from people who like her or not. Modeling is a business, and they will value money and attention they get, over things like looks or skill. These brands do not exist to make poor unknown girls famous, they exist to make their companies rich.

I can’t get over people saying she looks bored and her walk has no personality. Yes she’s no Naomi Campbell but she’s doing fine. Her walk is pretty on point albeit not commanding. And don’t all models put on a blank face during runways? Not all models have to appear fiery. Kendall stands out in her own way to me. She always looks fresh and has that cold ice vibe going on which IS her charm. She has the body, the vibe & the walk for walking that runway regardless of how she got the opportunity. I don’t even like her :/ just being honest.

@@user-mv9tt4st9k Actually her catwalk at first (2011-2012) was just awkward and terrible and now her walk(from 2014 onwards) is just mediocre at it's best and that's not really such a great improvement yk.Kendall has always been getting criticisms for her walk ever since she started doing runways and that's bc her walk wasn't simply good enough for the title of a supermodel. It's not bad for a model but too bad for a supermodel.

People don't seem to get that fashion brands look for exposure. That's why celebs get casted. Kendall is a celebrity with lots of insta followers etc, so that's what increases a brand's exposure. But that being said, I love Kendall and I see improvements. I think she's going to prove many people wrong.

IMO she isn’t paid for her walking per se but her influence over trends and what youngsters wear? I know a ton of modes whose walks are amazing, but they’re not well known unfortunately and hence do not command a presence on social media. By 2017, Gigi and Bella's walks had improved immensely. Kendall had a 3 year head start and her runway walk barely evolved. Even in 2020 her walk is still forgettable. It's almost like she isn't hungry for it cause she didn't have to work that hard to get it. No model who's been on the runway as much as she has should have such an average walk with little improvement after 9 years of runway experience. Something's not adding up

If she was interested I'm pretty sure she would have worked hard to make that walk look at least ok. It's been 9 years, how come she didn't improve at all? Also, she cherry picks her jobs. A truly passionate model would have taken every opportunity to do her job. Linda Evangelista used to choose a new designer every season to walk for free just to support new designers. And I'm pretty sure Naomi took every single job she could take just to prove that she is at least as good as the other models (since they wouldn't hire her because of their race).

The fashion industry had a hard time accepting her presence and influence. To designers, she is either another coat hanger or a statement piece, she rocks both and also either one. Personally I think she looks really commercial and her walk bores me, compared to other top models (in the same show) who carry the clothes with such character, presence and grace

She started improving in 2017 and 2019-2020 she idc what anyone says she killed w some of those looks she gives. Her walk is very on and off. Okay and other times surprisingly damn good. She had a couple notable moments as well in 2016.

Models even change their walk to match the vibe of the show.Sometimes they exaggerate, sometimes they tone it down, sometimes sensitive and sometimes fierce. In her 9 years of modelling she never tried a different walk.She isn't even trying.She literally just walks down the runway like she doesn't even care.

you’d think from the special treatment she gets that she’d put some effort in. i don’t know why people try to defend her walk like it’s not good???? sucks but it’s the truth, from all the backlash she gets you would think that she’d realise but because she’s rich and is a nepotism model she feels no need to put effort in because she has the privilege to stay in the industry no matter how bad she is. look how much bella and gigi improved from being criticised, they are real models and you can see how thankful they are from getting an easy way in to the fashion world, they are aware of their privilege. i’m not jealous and i don’t hate kendall quite frankly i do quite like her but the walk is an absolute no.

Good point, she's been called out for a lack of work ethic before. She doesn't do as many runway shows as other high profile models. Her runway walk has slightly improved (her movement seems less awkward) but considering how long she's been a model and her status you would expect her to be better. I mean she could hire a runway coach to improve her walk. Hell, even Tyra Banks got walking lessons early in her career and her modeling career ending up being amazing.

@@m.q.7149 yes like she used to wobble when she walked that’s the only thing she improved on, not only could her walk be better but her stage presence and attitude could also be, if u look at claudia schiffer her walk was never good in the 90s, it did improve but it deffo wasn’t the best and she even knew it wasn’t good, but her stage presence is what made her amazing. kendall had the potential to walk good though she just clearly chooses not to, i think she’s been very rude like when she said that she cherry picks her modelling jobs and her true colours showed when she made that statement it just shows her privilege and how ungrateful she is.

She actually improved a lot! You can see she has much more confidence now and her walk is much stronger. In 2012 her walk was very insecure and clumsy. This looks easy but requires a lot of effort!!! I don't understand why people are so mean to her!

I wouldn’t say great but she’s definitely improved, she has the figure and look for it, & they are supposed to walk the runway with blank faces, however the poses at the end of the runway are supposed to have personality but they really didn’t show those, also the creator of the show dictates what the energy is supposed to be and we don’t know that because we only see her walk not the other girls to determine if her style was in sink or not

Shes more of a 'pop culture' model, due to the stuff i mentioned above, she can draw attention to lables, brands etc.. thats why she could crawl along the catwalk, she d still get hired.
