The thing I love about this matchup is that no matter who wins, it’s a giant storyline. If Charles wins, he’s beat all the best all in a row and is knocking on Khabib’s door. Basically, he’s risen to legendary status. If Islam wins, he completes Abdulmanap’s legacy, and is everything everyone thought he was, minus some fan girls, this whole time. He writes the story of Khabib and Islam, two legends from Dagestan, and begins his reign as champion. Damn!!!!!

@@mathprodigy It's hard, man. Part of me wants Olivera to win because he grew up in the slums of Brazil. That's ABJECT poverty!😭💔 I love that dance he did when he won the belt. He was so happy!😄 However, I want to see Khabib become one of the most successful coaches in honor of his dad. And, I think Islam has the technical edge. We'll see. I'm just a casual fan of UFC. I think BOTH of these guys are SO good, it's too close to accurately call. I'm going to guess Islam will win by judges decision and, there will be much controversy. It will be a close call. I don’t think olivera style is going to be as effective against that good of a grappler it’s going to be a war but he’s got a good track record against elite jujitsu fighters like khabib he is a master of at weight placement and getting you in some bad spots when you’re tired I can’t see Islam not getting his hand raised at the end time to belt this dude up!

Charles has interim champion material written all over him, he was a stopgap title holder living on vacated title donated by Khabib. It boggles my mind that two kids who grew up together could potentially end up being the two best lightweights on the planet, if Islam wins this match. How does that happen 🤯🤯🤯 I can see 1 and 10… but 1 and 2 🤯

I'm just a backwoods country bumpkin from a small town in Ohio, we keep to ourselves and other than a stint in the Army i have always lived here. If it wasn't for MMA i wouldn't have anything good to say about Russia, about Russians, i wouldn't even think about them. Because of MMA not only do i have love for Russia, but i have love for so many Russian fighters. MMA is just a sport but because it reaches everywhere, for someone like me it opens my eyes to all these people from all these corners of the earth that i would otherwise never think about. Islam is one of the best fighters in the world, and because i'm a real fan of MMA i'll be cheering for him, because i know how rare his talent is. It's okay not to be so casual. If he can change, and i can change, maybe you can change, we can all change...Adriannnn!!
