Realme never claim that GT 2 Pro has IP rating for water resistance.. this video at least bring peace of mind for GT 2 Pro buyer.

Well, manufacturers still include water and dust protection, especially in premium segment. But it's just pain in the one place to deal with sertification and warranties, especially when some people think that ip68 means your phone is Mars rover and submarine at the same time.

The phone can survive 5 minutes deep inside water... Very good resistance and more than enough... No one will leave his phone inside water for more than 1 minute

Actually there is no standardised certification for IP rating as carl pei said, it's just a series of tests a company does

The reasons why some companies do not indicate whether their phone is IP rating is also the fa t it requires certification to be able to let the consumer know if could actually be water resistant,I mean occasional splash of water by a accident or some rain drizzling,it is not water proof to be able to be water proof for an electronic communication devices is impossible,the rubber sealing will weaken as time goes.

@@Arjun_Vasudevan IP is standardised, that's the whole point - it's part of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and provides a set of standard international benchmark codes for levels of ingress protection. To get the rating, the product must not only pass the range of testings to meet a particular standard but do so with a recognised certification provider - getting a device certified adds to it's costs and many value orientated brands will forgo certification even if the actual protection could meet said standards.

This is the phone that I truly waiting for it. Very unique and fun futures I just shocked how much it is useful for note taking. I prefer this bio polymer to everything but nano ceramic which is too expensive. Waiting for its disassembleing.

I really like the way the reviewier talk and the hairy hands. 😂 btw human intervention to damage the device intentionally will give tension based on the provided energy. In a normal usage of the device, it is beyond expected quality, but in a sense, GT 2 pro does not have IP rating, only a splash proof. I have this phone, and yet, I forgot most of the praised brand of smartphones out there in the market.

One of the channels was able to break the phone during a bend test quite easily. What does your hand feel say? Would it survive occasional Pocket bends, people unintentionally sitting on it and anything of that sort?

I'm not sure how water resistant it is, but it is splash proof. I didn't test the durability on that phone so I don't know to what extend it can withstand water but the connectors did not have any rubber gaskets so that is not a good sign. But it did have rubber gaskets by the speaker opening and mic openings.

Not sure, the GT2 video he did, he wasn't able to bend and break it but GT2 pro was. These tests aren't 100% though since each persons strengths can be different. Only way would be accurate if it was done with a machine with the same amount of pressure applied with every phone.

@@PBKreviews what i mean is, you registered your finger after you scratched it. So if the sensor would "see" the scratches, they would also be registered and have no impact on the recognizion. Would have made more sense to scan your finger, scratch the display and test then.
