Very clever use of available material. As a welder, I can really appreciate the value of this improvised 'Carry-All' for 'Welding Kit' to and from, and around the worksite,. Fantastic idea. Driving the desert in the 80's I encountered a hitch hiker with the old red and yellow square 6in. thick metal gas can. Had the nozzle on the top with carry strap handle. He wanted to get in the car with the can, I say gas in trunk, He pulls on the can strap handle and it's all his stuff, I laughed and said great con to get a ride, and he just smiled. He made a drawer for the can top which pulled out of the gas can. Who doesn't stop for a person with a gas can in the middle of know ware.
