out of the many famous quotes from Kobe.... this one is near the top. Kobe almost never compliments other players... he always is very competitive and will admit when some players are tougher than usual... but he always talks about them in the sense of "you're tough, but I think i can beat you".... he never even hints at that with Curry.

‘To obsess over Curry’s three-point artistry is to miss all the other skills that make him one of the greatest players of his generation-and arguably of all time. It’s his sublime ball handling, his ability to weave in and out of traffic; his soft finishes at the rim, with either hand; his midrange marksmanship, his balletic assortment of floaters, scoops and step-throughs; his passing and playmaking and court vision; his rebounding (especially for his size); his stout screen-setting (ditto); his knack for drawing double teams, then solving them with a quick pass or shot.’ {source: ‘Wilt. I'm a mamba fan forever, but I like the player that Steph is. He is overall very skilled -- he's up there in scoring. He just isn't averaging scoring champion numbers, but he can score basically anytime and anywhere he wants. Also, I would say that Steph's ballhandling is not flashy like Kyrie (nor does he run like Fox or Prime John Wall). STILL, his ballhandling is up there. At times he even looks like he is in slow motion when he dribbles. Watching videos of him, it's like he doesn't cross very quickly yet he somehow leaves defenders behind. People are focusing too much on shooting alone. He's an all-time player definitely, and Kobe saw that .

For me, Curry is much more understandable as a person. An undersized guard with amazing shooting evolved a game and made a three more valuable than ever. He found his own way to get offensive impact on the floor as much as Kobe and LeBron with his offball movement. I tore my meniscus and ACL got 2 surgeries and when I feel down I look at some Steph Curry highlights who also been through injuries. He is inspiring me to become better than I was before injury, not Kobe or LeBron, both of them seem unreacheable for me with their crazy athletic ability and height whereas Curry makes me want to workout more and get my shit together.

All I keep hearing is about “the shot” But NOBODY is talking about all the things that revolves around making that shot, The work he puts in for the AMAZING handles to create space for that shot…. The conditioning he had to go through to move without the ball that TO THIS DAY make Reggie Miller and Rip Hamilton EXTREMELY PROUD. He’s top 5 dead or alive one of the greatest point guards to ever play the game of basketball ON ANY LEVEL because he’s been doing it since he was able for the ball to reach the rim because of his legendary father. He’s an EXTREMELY RARE talent that we’ll be lucky to ever see again.

Your opinion is that all time greats become all time greats and people still dont know what he is capable of? How the hell did he get that far then? I played basketball when I was young. Back then if I could make a single 3 point shot I felt tired. I don't know why sportscasters fail to acknowledge Stephen as the best nba player of all time. Even when mj was playing, if he made 5 threes in a game, that was it. Stephen has made a record 13 threes in a regular game. He also made 16 threes in an all star game. He made more than 400 threes in a regular season. He made 93 threes out of 100. With all these records I don't think anyone can top what he's accomplished. He's a good dribbler that's why he can hide the ball when driving to the rack. How many times has Stephen shoot the ball from half court or before half court? These shots happen once in a lifetime. Stephen has done it many times.

No other player can score from any part of the half court at will and at a super fast release. “If you look back forever, there’s nobody who plays like him 👨‍🍳” says ESPN’s Hubie Brown, who has witnessed most of NBA history as a coach or analyst. “There’s nobody that size, that can shoot from that distance, shoot that percentage, go to the foul line, shoot over 90 [percent], handle the basketball like it’s part of his hand and move to wherever he wants to go and keep you off balance as a defender.” {source: Howard Beck, Sports Illustrated [1 June 2022], title: ‘Wilt. SHAQ. LeBron. Steph Curry? There's a New Definition of Dominance’}

Whoa, chill out with that Top 20 talk. LeBron, Curry, Giannis are solid top 20 picks. I got KD in my top 25. But the rest, nah bruh, they're way down the list. Michael Jordan LeBron James Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Magic Johnson Larry Bird Shaquille O'Neal Wilt Chamberlain Bill Russell Kobe Bryant Tim Duncan Hakeem Olajuwon Oscar Robertson Steph Curry Julius Erving Karl Malone Moses Malone Giannis Dirk Nowitzki Charles Barkley John Stockton Who are you kicking out of the top 20 for Tatum, Morant, Luka, Jokic, and "so many more"? C'mon man, it's not that easy to break the top 20. It's tough man. I used to have Iverson in my top 20, but Curry took his spot. We've been getting like one new top 20 player about every 5 to 7 years or so, and sometimes you get a couple at once, like Magic and Bird, but never like 10 at once. That's just statistically improbable.

It's a privilege to watch Steph play, I'm just glad I'm around to see his career play out and I can't wait to tell my kids about Steph Curry...I live in New England and it's comical how many celtics fans hate Steph just because he beat us last year...I'm a celtics fan too but I think t's pretty immature to not like someone just because they beat the team you root for, if anything you should respect a player even more because of that. I love how cocky he is too because he can back it tf up, I've always thought if you can back it up then you shouldn't be afraid to say anything to anybody (within reason of course)

Curry's floaters need to be talked about more. Floaters are really tough shots to make because the shot depends on speed he's closing in at which has to be factored in along with every other aspect of a normal shot. Plus, it seems like the shot could be a subtle demoralizer for the defenders, as in, "Damn! How can we EVER stop this guy?"

Why does everyone seem to overlook the fact that Steph grew up with a millionaire father who was one of the best 3 point shooters of his time and supported his son 110%? Steph never had to work a summer job, he practiced with NBA players on NBA rims as a child, had training by his NBA father, he got genes from his NBA father, he got the best healthcare, he probably had a private chef, and the best trainers. The golden pretty boy Curry had all the possible advantages that an NBA player could have. Steph is over-rated. Jordan is the standard for greatness. Jordan in his prime was the best scorer, arguably best defender, and arguably the best athlete. Steph is mainly just a great scorer. Although, statistically speaking, Jordan (1), Lebron (6), and Durant(4) are better scorers. Steph is 17th best scorer of all time.
