Never thought I’d see the day that Konami remembered Silent Hill

I have to keep coming back to this trailer just to make sure I'm not dreaming. 23 years ago I was running through the fog of Silent Hill, and here I am nearly 40yrs old and about to experience it again. What a time to be alive.

I wish my mom were alive to see this. We were introduced to the series together♡ Many late nights were spent with me by her side, helping her with puzzles and getting scared shitless... I didn't care about sleep or school the next day. The Town That Takes All demanded my attention... I hope this remake does justice.

Man the second trailer didn’t get me half as hyped as this one. I hope they’re able to really impress us all.

Can’t wait to see a photorealistic PS5 rendering of the dog ending.

"In my restless dreams, I see that town. Silent Hill. You promised you'd take me there again someday. But you never did." 21 years later this phrase still gives me goosebumps.

I love how they used the song “Magdalene” from the original SH2 for this trailer. Can’t wait to hear the modern renditions of the rest of the soundtrack.

So happy Akira Yamoaka is back, his music is so unique, I don’t think the spirit of the original could’ve been captured without him

I've never played a Silent Hill Game, but I will say, this Trailer has given me the biggest chills ever.

Silent Hill best components were the music, atmosphere and how the horror actually meant something meaningful and personal. Hopefully they can capture that.

The crazy thing is the PS2 original still looks amazing now. Its aged really well.

As someone who just finished playing the original Silent Hill 2 five minutes ago, I can wholeheartedly say, This game has me more pumped than any other game this year.

The credits for Masahiro Ito and Akira Yamaoka warmed my heart. It's sad to see different face and voice for James, but hopefully it's executed well.

Silent Hill and Resident Evil legitimately terrified me back in the 90s and early 2000s as a kid. I’ve since conquered all the Resident evil games… but silent hill man has always legitimately freaked me out… im about to dive in

I love how James still moves in a dream-like and ps2-retro like movement. Still feels trapped and confined to an uncomfortable space, even with the modern technology.

Silent Hill 2 was one of the most atmospheric and creepy games I played back in the day. I remember borrowing the game from my uncle and being super fascinated with the town.

Absolutely one of the most chilling and emotionally charged survivor horror games I ever played. I'm so happy to see a revamped version. The news released at such perfect timing in my life!

I hope this remake works as a great tribute to what Silent Hill was and specially to the work of Team Silent, who were the ones that made this franchise so special.

Not sure how they expected an indie studio known for walking simulators to somehow be able to develop a passable remake of one of the best horror games ever made.

I hope they keep the choice mechanics that determined the different endings without telling the players. It was clever and ahead of its time.

I truly hope Akira Yamaoka kept to the same ambient sounds and creepy music. I'd love a mix of the old and new, of course. Akira has been one of my music composing inspirations, for sure. The way a simple sound can turn the spine to ice isn't as easy at it seems. To me, in my opinion, he's one (if not THE) best composers of erie sounds that will seep into your brain and take you where you never would want to go.

I remembered buying my PS2 bundled with this game and MGS2 back in early 2002, it was one of my happiest moment in gaming, no gadgets, no online multiplayer, just me and my PS2 till dawn

I’m excited to play this. I played SH1 on the PS1 but never got a chance to play SH2 so this is really great news to see a remake on the horizon.

I’m ready to go back to silent hill. I felt all kinds of emotions stirring up inside me watching this and remembering younger me being scared shitless to go through the next door and now all these years later it is time for us to open that door again. It is time to revisit the beauty, the horror, the sadness and joy that was Silent Hill 2. It’s in our special place, waiting for us.

I only played through this game once in my life and it was back then when i was a teenager. But I remember every single scene in this trailer. It was a super intense experience that was burned in my brain.

It's nice that a lot of old PS2 games are getting a remake. Now, if we could just have a Xenosaga remake, I'd be in remake heaven.

I must've played the original game when I was 10 years old and immediately fell in love. The music, the eerie feeling of being alone, the mystery, the layers of meaning behind each character. After all this time, this Art piece can now be experienced by a new generation.

Silent Hill 2 is one of my favorite games ever. Played it originally on my old PS2 in 2002 and immediatly realized that it was a masterpiece, even if the press reviews at that time were not so positive. Gamespot gave it a 7.7 score, what was absolutely unfair. Even if the controls sucked, both storytelling and atmosphere were way ahead of that time, not to mention the amazing soundtrack. I'm 41 years old and can't wait to play this remake on my ps5.

I Hope That In The Remake We Can Go To Places That Were locked In The Original Game Like Silent Hill Ranch Also The Toluca Lake Rebirth Church Or Lakeside Amusement Park And Maybe Add A Battle Mode Like For Example The Mercenaries From Resident Evil

Bro the music!!! Sheer chills and that was just the frigging teaser! Yamaoka is masterclass of a musician and composer, the PS5 is an absolute must get now. This franchise was a game changer in the horror genre of gaming, seriously cannot wait to see this through!
