@@vetalzotov6323 Выдолбить при размокании стяжки будет легко, "заливайте!" ))) Так не надо делать нигде, это крайне ненадёжно и ничего не экономит в сравнении с нормальными фабричными реализациями. Разве что можно там, где не страшны утечки и прорывы, необходима дешёвая разборность и нет нормальных давлений. Вопрос доверия результату. Но конечно каждый сам решает))

Для полива купи ПНД и дешевле и все разбирается ,можно после сезона разобрать ,а летом восстановить ,а если так срутишь ,то без разборных муфт не справишься если это полив .

As a plumber I would say just go to the supply house and get what you need, if for some inexplicable reason it isn't in the truck.

Резьба нужна не стандартная треугольная, а трапециевидная или квадратная, как у всех пластиковых резьб - т.е. надо брать другой шаблон, а не обычный трубный штуцер. А данный образец можно использовать для быстрых конструкций разборного каркаса в хозяйстве. А на воду только через редуктор понижающего давления, иначе гидроударом выбьет даже если резко закрыть смеситель

@@ricktomlinson5481 The # of threads in steel pipe are rated for the pressure and strength according to steel material. That # of threads on PVC pipe is not strong enough to hold pressure/strength since PVC is weaker. You would need the equivalent of 10x the # of threads for pvc. So in theory the correct elbow to use would be 10in in both directions. In a freeze that would slip right off from ice expansion.

Definitely super sketchy, I would never use this method but it's good for a laugh watching someone else doing it. =)

If it were a late night fix, I Wouldn't fix like This. I'd just shut my water off and wait till morning to get the proper supplies. It likely works, but I guarantee it wouldn't pass inspection.

@@JohnDoe-qz1ql you're exactly right, it would not pass inspection..lol..and I actually tried this setup about a month ago and no joke, it held 122psi of the city main here locally where I live. The water pressure spiked somewhere in the middle of the night/morning at 134psi and it held. I wouldn't use this method Unless it was a short term, 2 to 3 hour quick fix and I had no other choice.. I would've used this idea about 8 years ago and I wish I could find the pics of this BS, but I was at a fairly big apartment complex and this one building had 12 apartments in it. Man I dunno who put this mess of piping in the ground but they had a 2" copper waterline coming from the citys main to a 2" PRV that was buried down to where the last plumbers put 6 black water tile boxes stacked and there was copper, black steel, sch 20 PVC, Sch 80 grey PVC, galvanized pipe, black ABS tubing and even dang automotive radiator hose with a shit ton of radiator hose clamps tying all back into a 1-1/2 copper stubout from the building. My boss was at the beach, my helpers didn't show up and then the water utility company gate valves at the meters wouldn't shut off completely due to the age of those things and all I had at the time was copper fittings..so I couldn't sweat any copper so long story short, the apt mgmt screwed my old boss out of $2500 of a $4200 bill because they said it shouldn't have taken me so long. Considering the damn waterline was in a steep bank and I couldn't barely get my mini ex in-between the bank and the building plus the 36+ hours I was there because apt mgmt didn't want me to leave untill utility showed up...12-1/2 hours later.. ughhhh, it was a nightmare..I would have tried This technique if I had known about it..lol

The least a guy could do is clean the threads.

I use Teflon on all my pvc threads. Just don’t wrap the first 2 threads. They are your starting threads

Для показанного выше метода тоже нужны ножницы, так что не хватает только паяльника. Но нужна горелка... и фум лента... и металлические фитинги для формирования резьбы... и минимум минут 40 времени. И получим в результате крайне сомнительное соединение. А с паяльником то же самое проделывается за пару минут, и крайне мало шансов накосячить. Естественно, если соблюдается пункт А.

None taken. I wouldn't do it either if it weren't critical to get water flowing before pipes freeze. It's definitely a temporary/emergency fix.

Bullsht about reheating, taking significant amount of plastic off etc. Of course, this is not a perfect method. Plastic pipes are made for thermal welding to join together.

Threading with a proper pipe cutting die definitely removes material, but since he is heating the plastic beforehand, I have to wonder if perhaps it is more of a case of it getting deformed and pushed inward than being removed... I have heated PVC with a hot air gun to get it to bend or expand for non-plumbing projects... When I tried it once with a propane torch, I found that it was a bit too easy to discolor / burn the plastic which I suspect might compromise the molecular structure of the plastic...

I actually am a professional irrigation installer. Irrigation master tech 3. I do more repairs than anything. I enjoy doing them.. The most prominant type of repair I usually have to do.. Is glue failures... The next would be breaks.. The next would be damage caused by human interference. The very least common.. Threaded unions. They do happen. But they also are the easiest to fix. Professionally. Atleast irrigation. Most everyone is moving away from glue... Threaded or push connect or EZ lock..

В жилых помещениях ,офисах и т.д такое рукоблудство категорически запрещено,все таки это вода под высоким давлением.Я не говорю уже про отопление!

That pvc 90 had a crack, so I'm pretty sure it would fail a pressure test at 5 psi, let alone 150.

@@munenex Perfectly fine for pressurized systems. See: swimming pools/ spas. Been using this, and other heat methods, to fix pools for over 25 years. Same methods apply when converting cast metal to pvc.

@@moobiemaykker9639 Pools are closed systems- all the water is in the system. A house is an open system- water comes in from the county/city and goes out via drain/ sewage. On a pool the water is impelled to circulate.That creates the pressure . If the diameter of the pipe isn’t sufficient, or the pump too powerful, it can lead to heat, distorting the PVC. ( the pipe can literally balloon out). Pools normally run at 15-30 psi, but can run much higher if the filter isn’t clean or there’s debris in the system.

Considering PVC gets rubbery enough at about 90-95°F, use of flame is stupid. I see people on here all the time using flames of polyolefin shrink tube and pvc and wonder why they don't by a $10.00 effing heat gun from Harbor Freight. Or they could splurge and buy the better one for $15.00... LOL Flames overheats both and makes them brittle, which leads to failure down the road.

The heat weakens the plastic by making it brittle, it is manufactured in a manner that allows for flexibility. It may work short term but is guaranteed to fail sooner then later after being torched.
