I had never heard it until King Charles' coronation and now it’s one of my favorites. What a wonderful piece!

Out of all of Sir Edward Elgar`s Pomp & Circumstance marches the forth march is my favourite. It`s so beautiful and incredibly noble.😀

This is the finest representation of Edwardian England at its zennith. My landlord used to listen to it on the weekends at his studio after his mandatory tea time and crumpets in Colchester, Essex.

So much underrated. One of the best transition !

NBC TV here in the States used this theme for their coverage of the Royal Wedding of Charles and Diana in 1981. And the next morning, I heard the full orchestral version during the recessional.

This sounds majestic and processional. Makes me think of an awards ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

This was played at the end of King Charles's coronation service, and I believe that it has been used in several older motion pictures.

Listening to this music is going back to 1981 when Her Royal Highness Diana married Prince Charles in Westminster Abbey, a beautiful wedding of the Princess of Wales.

I first learned the words to this impressive and beautiful piece of music as a teenager, many years ago, and it, along with the glorious Nimrod have stayed firm favourites, ever there to turn to when spirits need a boost.

While the trio strain of No. 1 is certainly commanding and memorable, if only due to its eternal bind with graduation ceremonies, the equivalent in No. 4 speaks just as broadly of England as does No. 1, just in a more fluid fashion.

By far the best of the five.

It is magnificent and totally suited to the happy occasion. So regal, elegant, and powerful.

When I get married this will play in the church speakers:)

A much better British national anthem could be created from this magnificent piece of music. Along with suitable lyrics I’m certain people would be delighted to sing it out with pride and gusto.
