I love the beats and types of music in the background and soft vocals, it’s mixes so well together, then the low metal screaming subtlety in the guitar part. And yet it’s such a calming song

Oh! There is a lot of quality going on here. Her vocal style, mix and word setting in this song makes me think of Emilíana Torrini- especially the chorus. She last pulled an Emilíana Torrini on the Christmas album.....this one is straight to repeat play.

Why do people always have to compare to another artists. The artist you names probably sounds like other artists to. I know youre being paying compliments and being nice. Just always made me wonder. Artists take inspiration all the time lol. I guess I see it as a negative sometimes like poppy can't have her own sound.

@@neo-9086 That's the point- this song has a very unique sound (Dark, Dark, World lite?), and not many can come close to paralleling the vocal skills of Emilíana Torrini (which is why I noted it), and fewer still could do that whilst also being able to go the full screamo on us.

I really enjoy how she artistically incorporates the screaming into some songs. Definitely innovative. Man I hope she collabs with a bunch of artists of the next album like Avril, willow, Mgk etc.

Yup- I thought that too- filtering an expressionist scream so it sounds like an impressionistic smears of sound is one of the reasons this song is peak Poppy.
