Plus It holds the added benefit of being an higher quality meat both in taste and nutrients not to forget it also supports the local farmers around my area. This stands for both vegetal and animal products.

The point of the lyrics being so disturbing is to get the point across. I was actually struck the first time I listened and read the lyrics. It’s great because Poppy found a way to get her point across without being preachy, like a true artist.

It's meant to be disturbing, The point of the song is to talk about how cruel animal agriculture is by switching animals with humans.
