Earlier this week we posted about this Porsche Panamera 3.0 TDI V6 we had in for increased power. Good gains were achieved from just a turbo upgrade and software resulting in 358bhp & 580ft/lbs torque! 💪

Only tuning box I’ve ever tried was absolute junk, it was from one of the big names as well. Only reason I got it was the claims of being undetectable when removed. I scanned the car with VCDS before it went in for a service. Multiple fault codes for the likes of torque limit exceeded, high pressure fuel pressure too high etc. If I hadn’t scanned it I could likely have kissed my warranty goodbye😂 It might have been an isolated case of a faulty box, either way I’ll never use one again.

Had been intresting if you bought the V8 tdi panamera, use it as a project car and build it like you did with the A5 3.0 tdi. Would be intresting to see how much hp you can push out of that V8 tdi engine🙂

Relative of mine is a development driver for VAG, mainly works on Bentley but does occasionally work for other brands within the group. He said the Panamera dynamics were disappointing against his expectations, find it interesting you said the same. Great video 👍🏻

I remember putting a resistor on an old golf of mine back in the day. Gave it a lot more poke, and I especially loved how it got drowned on idle with diesel 😂 What you do when your a student

Good video telling customer you bought the wrong car hahaha they are like driving a boat. Cayenne are so much more nimble the front tyres always drag because the tyres are so wide on the front in relation to kpi. The A8 so much more luxurious

I've had this same model for nearly a year now and It's very underwhelming to drive, also it's absolutely massive! I've driven vans all my life and I can park a jumbo Transit easier. Recently I merged into a dual carriageway and floored it and noticed that some sort of MG suv kept up with me which was a bit gutting. Plus side is it gets plenty of looks and it gets nearly 40mpg.

Hi Question, since you have upgraded the fuel pressure sensor, what kind of pressure can you run on these injectors and on the audi 245hp engine? Std would be 2000bar and the normal pressure sensor goes to max 2200bar

Can you tell me what's the point of custom stage 1 or 2 remap? Generic one seems to do the job.

Generic maps are never as good, we can always improve something about them. More than can be described in a UKposts comment.

They will do job but it won’t be the best job. I’d describe the difference like trying to hang a picture level with your eyes closed and then again with your eyes open. Say you got a generic map that accommodated an exhaust and air filter. Some cars have 4 or 5 ‘good’ aftermarket air filter choices and they’ll perform differently and the map might have been done with brand A and runs well with that but you’ve got brand B which flows better or worse, so the map on your car wouldn’t perform as good as a car that had brand A. There’s loads more variables that would make a case for a custom map.

Does this 3.0 tdi in the Panamera have the CP4.1 or 4.2?

All 3.0s have a CP4.2 (except the older CP1 and CP3 cars)

@Darkside Developments that's interesting because my CNRB has the CP4.1 (single piston) and the 4.2 has two pistons opposing each other in a "V" pattern. I asked because I wanted to know if mine could reach ~360hp but i think I'll run out of fueling with my pump.😞

I’m confused with these tuning boxes. I’ve seen Awesome GTI test these on the dyno and they show the right figures but when they’re tested here they are junk. Who do i believe 😂

Dyno's can be manipulated, Darksides dyno seems to under read which is a good thing, but as always a 100-200 test is the best way.

@@RealGX the Darkside lads always say the dyno is a tool to show before and after tuning and upgrades etc which seems exactly what they use it for which I appreciate

@@RealGX it doesn’t matter if they under read. It’s the difference between before and after you are looking at. If anything if it’s under reading the gains would actually reflect as being better on a dyno that reads high.
