props to people who can actually tolerate cash register\prep. My first "real" temp job was last summer as a delivery driver for domino's, man i was glad i had nice coworkers who could work with people and a good manager who understood that not all people are good enough working with customers. I can tolerate driving and delivering the orders but actually cooking something for other people and taking their orders - i had to handle the cash register once and i was sweating crazy and could barely talk but it went okay-ish, the client was satisfied. Long story short good job man, im glad there are people like you out there. I'd rather be delivering orders on time and talk as little as possible heh

working at dominos was hell for me. usually i’m not too introverted, but my social anxiety there skyrocketed. i usually made the food, but sometimes my managers made me answer phones and work the front counter. most customers were so so rude and got mad when i took too long to count their money. and the creepy men that would stare me down behind the counter didn’t help much either
@uc22_swo1pРік тому
When i worked at domino’s for a summer job, i got lucky and never had to talk at the register. But the heat there was extreme, the hot air just pumped out of the gigantic oven in the middle of the restaurant, right behind me as i made the pizza’s. The job itself wasn’t to hard just very hot and i couldn’t remember the recipes for some pizza’s and such which i asked alot wheither or not i did it right. Everyone else worked with bare hands yet i worked with gloves and even washed the gloves at first for extra precautions. i got blamed for a bunch of pizza’s that were made wrong, yes some where my fault (around 6 pizza’s in total in my entire stay there) But there were some more that weren’t my fault but the manager stared at me as if i did it, and even started talking more harsh to me. Then a new guy joined in and made some pizza’s wrong aswell but i got blamed for them too. I worked for 3 weeks but i worked almost every day. Perfectly on time. In total i got paid around 82/86 euro’s. if i use a random euro to dollar ratio website and put in 86 euro’s it says i earned around 92 dollars. THREE WEEKS!

On sub day, 5 of us stayed until 2am cleaning (literally every single piece of dishes that could be used was used) and prepping the store for the next day. Wild times. I don't think subway as a franchise is nearly as busy or "in demand" anymore, could be wrong though. I always remember those hard days whenever I go to any fast food place. It isn't always as easy as boomers try to claim it is.

Mad respect, helping ppl in any type of way is never easy especially with food. As a long time fan of subway, when most others prefer jimmy johns and other sub shops, Ill always go back to the O.G. Of sub shops, Subway, Eat Fresh, also Quiznos is severely underrated. Making me want both subway and the Quiz!

I had subway yesterday, and the lady serving us was working like- REALLY fast! I’m thankful to have these people working so hard, and impressed by how good they are at multitasking lol

Just got done yesterday with my first introduction to the job. I can 100% agree with everything here. I'm sure most of this stuff comes naturally with enough practice. Hopefully I can get the job later on too.

@@toxicgracie3772 I checked my phone for the time. That's it. I spent 5 hours unpaid at subway. Luckily I found another job suited for my skills a month later, so it's all good

I work at subway and I can confirm that this is the way that people act when they are working at subway. There are a lot of customers out there that don’t realize that people like me are put through so much stress with subway but I enjoy my job it’s amazing.

I've worked at subway for a while and I've never seen someone cut the bread like that its pretty cool. Respect to this guy. He's really efficient
@GhostronicaРік тому
I love listening to this work. I used to make sandwiches just like this (Quizno's!) and I sometimes miss it. It is a fun combination of soft skills, efficiency, working with your hands and getting to make something as good as you could for each person who came through. The days were pretty predictable but rarely boring. Good times, great to see such care still being taken!
@CreachterZРік тому
I worked at Subway one day. Yes, one day. During my first shift they sent me to another store and asked me to lead them. I was 20 and an idiot. After listening to the life stories from the other folks as customers slowed down, I decided this was going to be my first and last day and that I needed to straighten up.

We had a subway open up in our town about two months ago. It's pretty cool.
