I love the remastered songs of brightside so much, as you said, they're trying to show emotions, but they're just.. Lacking it, and I think that's what makes them good.

I like this update but dam it is creepy how emotionless the songs are while the virus represents emotions

These songs were my favorite but now they’re gone. Oh and the backstory of brightside was he was abused as a kid and infected by a deadly brain eating parasite. He then was completely controlled by it and it was like another person in your head. The worst part is he was forced to kill and eat many people and the parasite sucked gf and bf in to not get in trouble. That was a mistake
