Yes it is. And it's absolutely worth mentioning that this was originally a soundtrack song. Look up Jon Cryer's "Hiding Out" starring none other than the actual Jon Cryer himself; Who was in many of John Hughes's hit 80's movies. And also... Three and a Half Men... Totally terrible song, but in all the right ways.

So I was still 6 years old until then. I also remember Lionel Kiddie City toy store, loved that place more than Toys R Us. It seemed like they had more toys than toy R Us, at least to me. Shame they went out of business. Another thing I remember for the little while that my Mom had cable, I watched a children's program called Pinwheel. It was similar to Sesame Street, and one of the shows they had on it was Today's Special. Oh I remember Mac Tonight for McDonalds, I had a crush on that character hahaha. Although my first crush was Marc Singer in The Beast Master, I was 4 years old at the time. Ah childhood memories!

Actually the 60's through the 90's were the last decades of music at its peak. Various styles of music ruled the charts and the birth of music videos and awesome concerts were unbelievable not to mention the advancement of the electronic sounds that were placed in the songs.

+Bill Suszynski I love this time for music. Back when hit radio stations actually had a good variety and DJs had more autonomy with their playlists. The oldie stations can be really repetitive nowadays, which is sad because there was so much more that they can play from this year (1987) alone.

islandbee I agree. Though now, the best way to even hear anything 80's is internet jukeboxes in a bar. At least in my area it is. We have a local Youngstown radio station that plays 80's songs on weekends, but it's usually the same 3 or 4 loops they play. I know there's more than 150 songs from that decade, lol!
