Synopsis: Prodigal Son is a fresh take on a crime franchise with a provocative and outrageous lead character and a darkly comedic tone, from Emmy Award-nominated executive producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter and writers Chris Fedak and Sam Sklaver. The series stars Tom Payne (“The Walking Dead”) as the son of a convicted serial killer (Emmy Award and Golden Globe nominee Michael Sheen, “Masters of Sex,” “Frost/Nixon”), who has made hunting murderers his life’s work.

I can tell you why it's getting cancelled, Fox. As soon as I saw that in the trailer I was curious if it was cancelled already. Fox is notorious for killing shows.

Fox is truly garbage. First they cancel Lucifer - big mistake as it's now the #1 show pretty much everywhere. Then they cancel this gem. Netflix really needs to step up and save this show. There's so much more to tell.

obssessed with this series, among the best detective thrillers i have watched. i love different cases in each episode which is a tough series to find, unlike those with one case all through an entire season. Cant wait for PS sn 2 ep 8

There is one if your interested. It's a series called Hannibal (2013) To be honest.....Malcom seems to be similar to Will Graham😅

Thank you for bringing that up. I also love different cases in each episode because if it is a continuous story through whole season I easily get bored. I'm gonna try to watch this episode if it doesn't scare me. 🤣

That’s actually a good trailer. I’m saying that after watching all 18 eps. Most shows have misleading trailers that look nothing like the show. But this one is good. There’s drama but there’s also a lot of humor. Good show.

Okay enough is enough. The prodigal son needs to be brought back for one more season just like they did with that one serial killer show I can't think of the name right now it eludes me. It's taken me a week to binge watch it because I keep falling asleep and then who knows it's on my Roku box I don't know it's like I already watch this I remember watching that it was a next episode that I was supposed to be watching when I fell asleep so it's taking me a week to binge watch it. It is good but now we need to know one more season that's all bring it back

I've mixed feelings about this show. I loved the concept but the execution wasn't perfect. The series has a lot of flaws technical and story wise. There are a lot of moments that are ridiculous I'm the show. I don't how to explain it but for a "police procedural" drama series it's not realistic at all ?? Anyway, I do enjoy watching it and I'm curious about what's next.

Agree. One of the ridiculous scene was in season 1 episode 2 where Malcolm fell out his bedroom window while still cuffed to the walls. Never heard of anybody having nightmares and struggling like him. Like some people said this is like a copy version of the tv series Lucifer with daddy issues.
