Качество конечно же ГОВНО,но какие они молодцы,я смотрю и охуеваю. Представьте как раньше,давным давно,когда цивилизация только зарождалась,как изготавливались те же станки для обработки того же чугуна, инструменты и прочее. These people have better problem solving mechanical skills using only what they have on hand ,that normally would get thrown away here, and they still get the job done. Take away that fancy CNC machine and people here are helpless. These people can fix things that people here cannot or will not..young men here especially are lacking in any mechanical skills or ability to work like these foreign young men. By the way, I do drive an older model car with reliable easily repaired analog technology. With no power assist in steering or braking, it does require a different skill to drive it. Absolutely not and neither would you. 45 years ago, I drove a 1977 Plymouth Fury on a 450-mile long trip. I smell rubber burning. I found a V belt was gone. I drove to the nearest one-man country garage and bought the belt. The guy came back and told me the bearing on the alternator was seized. That was on a Sunday and no auto part store is open. He suggested that he could replace the bearing instead of replacing the alternator but that would take a couple of hours. I agreed. He disassembled the alternator and replace the two bearings for something like $50.00. The minimum wage back then was $1.25/hr. That was the last real "repair" job I've seen. From then on, everything is replaced instead of repaired. The labor cost is so high that a replacement is cheaper than repairing. I also used to drive multiple VW manual transmission minibusses, the hippy van that require constant valve clear adjustment. Does anybody still know what is valve clearance adjustment? It was fun and skill to drive a manual transmission, change the oil, adjust the valve... But, I never look back after I got my first new van, a Ford Aerostar van. I always said the technician or craftsman who can accomplish the job with minimum tools has the highest skill. They are to be admired, but not admired because, with better tools, the job can be done faster with less skill.

The designs now are not meant to be serviced quickly or easily if at all. I'm an auto mechanic/ tech by trade and have been tinkering with cars for 35 years. The older cars require less tools and time to fix. Their designs allow them to be serviceable and rebuildable. Example: to change a alternator on a 2012 Chevy traverse requires disassembly of unrelated component sections requiring multiple specialized tools along with a floor jack and lug wrench for wheel removal just to get at the alternator. Takes a few hours to complete. To do the same alternator r&r job on my 1964 Chevy requires a couple simple basic standard size wrenches and a long bar. Job takes maybe 10/ 15 minutes to complete. Minimal tools in the shortest time goes to the old simple analog tech. Not the so called better newer tech. Car repair today requires way more tools than it used to and takes more time to perform the work. That's why it costs more now. I've been down the convenient late model vehicle route and reverted back to old tech from my youth because I can fix it faster with less. I'll never buy a brand new car again. They are too technical ,require too many specialized costly tools, constantly outdating and updating which translates into more new tools needed to service them and have become beyond the average man's ability to maintain and repair . As you said it's a remove and replace approach now. A throw away culture we have become. People can't fix things anymore ..only reliant on replacement parts so long as those parts are manufactured and available. That makes us weak.

My thoughts entirely, the lathe operators are brutal, endlessly pushing and riving. There must be plenty of 'buggered' lathe chucks in that country. However they all seem a bit 'slight' not much muscle on them, so maybe there is some reason for the 'mechanical advantage'? And why so much force applied to the tailstock screw, in my experience its adhesion to lathe bed that is weak point.

Nobody gives a crap about nothing in such countries and I guess the 80s technology theyre keeping alive is kind of forgiving. Та нормально. Первая установка после литья. Там припуска миллиметров по 3-5на сторону. Чувак с третьего удара биение на глаз выставил. Имхо на опыте он спокойно без доп мерителя, в 0.3 биения на глаз попадет. Чего вполне достаточно для базовой операции. Точит черновую внутреннюю от которой остальные уже на центрах работают. Это нормально:)

It does, surprisingly. Of course, nowadays in highly industrialized countries we have better (closed) shoes with a bunch of safety properties. But if those are not an option, considering the costs - it is still more important to be able to take off the shoes if molten metal gets in than to protect the feet (and legs/skin in general) from direct contact of hot material.

They used to be here and some still are, until the technology boom and everyone had to have the latest gadget and didn't want to get their hands dirty.

They are extremely skilled as primitive machinists, but their habits could make them very difficult to retrain as proper machinists in a modern industrial facility (There are excellent and precision machine shops in Asia as well. You get what you're willing to pay for) These fellows are taught to work by sight and feel, and measure to caliper or template. The machinist trade is extremely complex and there are many nuances to behavior of materials, the devices and the tooling.
