yeah but they're fluid , sometimes when animating the movements come out stiff and this helps

it makes it so that the characters don’t have super janky, one-axis movements to make the character look more human and less like a robot

no matter how unrealistic, that's still a human body, that moves with the limitations and little details as a real human body would. that's difficult to program. it's the same reason why people still use live instruments even though we have software that can create the sound of any instrument digitally. it's hard to replicate those little details of human movement.
