I am highly impressed with the amount of careful thinking that went into these documentaries, so refreshing and fascinating. It makes me have more confidence in the human race in general. It emphasizes that this whole experience of life is much bigger than you and I and that thinking in this way should give one inspiration and meaning in their life. Please don't stop making these films, they are simply amazing.

Speaking of agriculture, I’m from the Ohio Valley and Johnny Appleseed was a real person. He was a very interesting man, primarily a loaner who moved easily back-and-forth between white society an Indian society in and around the river systems that defined Ohio Kentucky Indiana and then down the Mississippi to New Orleans and he was welcome everywhere he went. Why? Because he really did Plant Apple orchards! And why were Apple orchards so important? Well when I was a little kid I used to think it’s because people like apples and apple pie and apple juice. No. Hard cider! If a community had an apple orchard they were pretty much assured that they could make hard cider every year. And hard cider was very very important because water was often poisonous, polluted, and not fit to drink. But once you turn water into alcohol, the alcohol kills the germs. I’ve always thought that was truly an amazing thing! So three cheers for Mr. Johnny Appleseed!

I am glad I found this channel. I only wish you would add Fahrenheit and miles. I know you all use the metric system but some of us stupid people have a hard time converting it in our heads. On a side note I am a combat veteran who has bad nightmares at night. The last few nights I have listened to your documentaries. Between hearing your documentaries in my headphones while sleeping and of course my wonderful cat that sleeps with me I have had some of the best nights sleep in a long time. I thank you and my wife whom I keep awake at night with my kicking and screaming thanks you.
@NoTengoIdeaGuey
@NoTengoIdeaGuey 2 роки тому
If you want approximate kilometers to miles just divide by two, Celsius to Fahrenheit multiply by two and add 30. Not the 100% mathematic way but it gives you the idea pretty easy, and once you do it like 5 times you just know what it means.
@BigAlboski
@BigAlboski 2 роки тому
Best way to guesstimate kilometer is just over half mile and a generic temp conversion multiply Celsius by 2 then add 30 to get rough Fahrenheit. It is normally not really .5 mile its. 6 and the temp is multiply by 1.8 add 32 my way is easier. I definitely can't do it in my head nearly as quick. Usually need rough idea not exact number so I make it simple. Hope I helped

It took me a lil while to memorize it in my head but I now can remember it most times 1kg=2.2lb. For length and speed 1km = 0.6. I know there is an easier way to do temp but all i can remember is that f° goes up by 1.8 for every 1 degree in c° there is a mathematical equation that involves multiplying something and adding 14 but I think once you watch so many vids you will start to be able to quess atleast close enough in ur head

I watched the whole thing 3 times and have downloaded and burned to dvd.. one of which I have sent to my son. This 'boy' from zOldham, Lancs has explained everything I will ever need to know before I die.. apart from the one thing which will never be solved: What was there before the big bang? But then again I dont need to know. I've been studying the planets and the universe via UKposts for a long time and believe me I am no academic.. just a reasonable education.. enough to absorb a lot. This video however has taught me the 99% I was missing. I'm not mathematically adept enough to understand the equations but I now understand the value and also the genius of Newton and Gallileo ( the latter who was almost burned at the stake for publishing his discoveries by the fearful and vengeful inquisition ) which lead the way to Einstein and modern science. I now understand many things and I thank you sir.

I don't think we're alone. I think considering how enormous the universe is, there has to be at least one form of intelligent life existing at the same time. They might be in another galaxy somewhere and those signals would take such a long time to travel, that is if both civilizations are using radio which we can't really assume. Maybe we're alone in terms of what exists in the milky way but I think the probability of there being someone else at the same time is very high. We would just be out of reach of each other.

I think you are right, though try either "Hollow Earth" or "Multi-verse" , they're more likely to bear fruit, even though we know that ET exists, due to a response to Carl Sagans message from Aracebo telescope & observatory. Namaste 🙏

With the enormity of the universe as we currently know it, the odds or probability is not in favour of another form of intelligence. I see it as the what I’ve read once; “ No matter how big a number is, it is ALWAYS closer to zero than infinity. No matter the odds of life, it’s closer to non than the chances are it will be, in due part, not despite the universes size.

If it took a 3rd of the existence of the universe in this galaxy for us to emerge to intelligent begins, how many others were developing within the same amount of time or at the exact same time as us, who are at the same technological level of us, probably millions. You can't single out our own existence to compare against the possibilities of other civilisations development, other beings might develop faster or slower, microbe life might be completely different to what we know, and that is it, isn't it, we can only say what we know on our own terrestrial turf, we have no basis for comparison. My self I can't wait for all we know to be turned on it's head to the wonder the universe will truly be. Great Video and lots to think about. Thank you 🙏📿
