That blood spot on his chest at the end, forming the shape of his original skull logo, was the cherry on top.

What makes this fight scene even better is that it perfectly contrasts Daredevil's stairwell fight scene, and together they showcase both characters' fighting style and in turn their personal code when fighting evil.

Jon's acting here is brilliant. You can see from his face that he doesn't wanna fight, but he knows he has to.

Punisher is literally the definition of “I’m not locked in here with you, you’re locked in here with me.”

not many have mentioned this but i love how he got stabbed on the left arm which basically disabled it so he proceeds to use his right throughout the duration of the fight. awesome choreography‼️

i love that in daredevil and punisher they allow the fights to not go the main characters way, it's just realistic, you see these guys get exhausted injured, they slow down, they miss shots, they fall over but none of that matters, that's not what makes them skilled, all of that is bound to happen, the important part is they always keep going and they can always do more than the other guy/guys regardless of how beat up they are

They truly did a fantastic job with the sheer brutality of The Punisher

Jon Bernthal as Punisher is seriously one of the best choices for casting in the MCU. Along with Charlie Cox's Daredevil and Kristyn Ritter's Jessica Jones (in terms of the Netflix shows) I really wish I could see em together, maybe for Born Again? (Probably just those three, since it's rumored it takes place in the blip, and that Iron Fist and Luke Cage, the lesser watched shows ironically, rumordely got dusted by thanos.) I know that DD and Punisher are coming back (and JJ in leaks) but I'm just done with waiting, I really miss this era of marvel.

Great parallel to the hallway fight scene that was the highlight of Season 1. That showed you what a hero could do with a high level of combat training and sheer willpower. But this scene, this is what a monster can do with the same level of training and willpower.

needless to say that the choreography for the daredevil series is one of the best ever how is Marvel gonna handle this? I've never seen this quality of choreography in any MCU movie. Also, I wonder how they're gonna handle this level of violence that a story of Punisher requires.

No one could've played the Punisher better than Bernthal. He was made for this role and he pulls it off brilliantly.

Top 3 contender for the best low cut combat scenes of all time. This is so incredible, I wish they would have done it in one take but despite that it still has to be top 3. The only other scene that can top this is the opening scene in the witcher, all done in one take. But this is still absolutely top 3. Jon as The Punisher is one of the best casting in the last 10 years.

I do always love hearing them talk about accomplishing these John Wick type fight scenes

One of the things I really like about this scene is how it happening the narrow hallway legitimizes the whole "bad guys run up one at a time" trope and adds to the authenticity of the choreography

Fun fact: They actually had John Bernthal murder 9-12 guys for this scene. The director kept saying "We want it to look real" and Bernthal was really good at murdering a bunch of random guys. They had to do a whole bunch of takes to get the blood smear to look like the punisher skull. "I musta killed about-" Bernthal chuckled before looking deadpan into the camera "I musta killed about 50 guys that day"

Jon Bernthal deserves all the praise he gets. From his """first""" on-screen role as Shane Walsh; he's proven his acting chops time and time again going as far as to star alongside big name actors like Brad Pitt in 'Fury'; and Christian Bale and Matt Damon in 'Le' Mans 66' to being the starring role in Punisher and playing a villain in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. This dude can truly do no wrong.
