For those upset or asking "why she bred her dog?". In the full episode Claire (the owner) explained she wanted Betty to have pups to save her breed (Sealyham Terrier, a really endangered breed). She made all kinds of tests to check when it would be a good time to breed her, went to Scott for an ecography to Betty and check the pups. I think with the "you've done your bit for the future of the Sealyham Terrier" Claire meant it will be the only time Betty will have puppies. I know it's important to adopt and I support the idea, but owners like Claire who make efforts and take responsibility to breed their dogs in a healthy and safe way as possible are also good to advocate for.

Gorgeous puppies! Watching little mom run up & down those stairs after delivering 4 puppies, trying to encourage the 5th, I was in awe of her! If anyone would have made me climb stairs after delivering 1 baby I would been cursing...LOL! Poor pup looked so confused! "Surely you're not serious! I'm already exhausted!" Good job, all of you! Fun video, a little tense, but Scott, I have big faith in you! You are the bomb!❤❤

People need to stop breading their pets. Adopt don't shop! I am saying this as someone who did buy a pured dog not being aware of breed rescues. I never went to a breeder again.

This is the only birth on Bondi vet I agree with. If you watch the full episode, she explains that the breed is almost extinct. She did health checks on the mom before breeding her and already had homes before birth. much different to the others who just breed Willy nelly.

Sealeyham Terriers are a dying breed. They have been so interbred that they have severe congenital problems. Its nice to hopefully see some international cross breeding. We had them while i was growing up and my father specialized in caring for many damaged ones.

She did this because this particular breed is dying out and she wanted to do her bit preserve the breed. There’s many reasons why people choose not to spay their pets, my 7 year old labrador isn’t neutered simply because he has such a beautiful temperament there was never any need, he is well trained, lives in a house with a gate and walked in the countryside.
