I feel like it was cute but the metaphor doesn’t really work because women aren’t unheard of concepts like sentient balls of yarn. It’s ok though.

KE Clarke they used the metaphor of yarn i think to show how women are perceived as these soft, submissive and domestic beings that cook, stay at home, knit, etc. she knit herself a knew persona because she felt that she had to change herself to be more like the men to be accepted by the men-which also very prevalent in false feminism. at the end we see that girl power really comes from supporting each other and accepting our femininity and how that does not make us any less equal to men. so while we can be perceived as submissive and domestic and soft, these characteristics aren’t necessarily negative. they shouldn’t exactly be the stereotype that determine how all women act, but for those who do- we should embrace it and embrace our femininity rather than try to become masculine to earn equality or success.

Yes, the director of the short film wanted to represent how she felt in a job that was "only for men" (I think so)

The cool thing is that you can interpret it as being a female in a place full of men, or you can also interpret it as being a non white person in a place with only white people, and the nice little detail of adding a black man at the end makes it work too. At the end it's about diversity.
