@bunzeebear2973
@bunzeebear2973 Рік тому
The reason the U.S. was involved in any of those countries varies with the country . Iraq, it was to take "their oil". Afghanistan, they looked for oil but found the country is a big granite rock., besides they were there for Osama Bin Laden(who is a Saudi) so, they tried to set up bases in the country THAT DOES NOT WANT THEM THERE as they were not asked to come there so THEY are the "invaders". They were unwelcome from the first day. Vietnam...the U.S. wanted a foothold in the far East. (read your history books, or Google)

The campaign has been handled brilliantly. US was sending defensive weapons for years before Feb 24th. The west sent a massive dump of defensive weapons so Ukrainians could stop the the Russian advance during the push for Kyiv and Odessa. Then came the M777s with artillery that had better range than Russians leaving them unable to defend their front lines. Then came the HIMARs with the ability to shut down every supply line as they made them use their weapons. Ukraine spent weeks talking about a southern assault then hit hard to the east with a perfect subterfuge. When the push came this week, Russians were out of support, ammo and resolve. They ran and will run until every inch of Ukraine has been liberated. Ukrainians are some of the best trained military in the world and have been working with the California National Guard since 1991. We saw this coming and were prepared.

Well Russia has won the war in terms of taking control of the border areas , now the war needs to end , Russia has made good progress in peace talks , there is no reason for the war to escalate Lugansk will become an sovereign nation , both Russia and Ukraine will have visa free travel to Lugansk , that would mean that in Lugansk will remain part of Ukraine , I think Russia has made good progress in peace talks , there is no reason for the war to escalate, I think good relations with NATO , Russia and Ukraine would be in the interest of our NATO allies , I don't think anyone in NATO would be opposed to that idea , I think a cease-fire is imminent . I think here in America and our NATO allies have made great progress in reducing WMD's , that includes the START treaty III , but more needs to be done , the war in Ukraine could start a new cold war and it would ruin years of inspections and mutual trust in reducing WMD's , so reducing WMD's and increasing cooperation between European nations across the continent is something that our NATO allies have greatly invested in , this is why a new cold war is not in the interest of NATO allies . Frankly in terms of the facts on the ground , and I'm a American so I'm not bias or taking sides , in terms of the early stages of the war Russia has won the war , in terms of a long term ideological or radicalized inspired war which could last years or even decades , that prospect is unacceptable and the Russians offered a cease-fire and a peaceful resolution that has been rejected by the Ukraine government

The Russian military organization relies heavily on the officer corps and less on the NCOs, since Russia micromanages their military from Putin on down the line to generals being required to be on the front lines giving orders on the front line because of the mistrust in the ranks; a holdover from the Soviet era of placing political commissar officers with the troops to make sure that their dictators orders were carried out.

Thank you for your service. South Vietnam was invaded by the expansionist and totalitarian Commie North Vietnam. From a theoretical point of view, the purpose of the US involvement in 'Nam was to prevent the Commie North from invading and conquering the South. Henry Kissinger of the US and Le Duc Tho of North Vietnam negotiated a peace treaty - the Paris Peace Accords - in which the South was guaranteed sovereignty. Kissinger and Le were jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, although Le refused to accept his Prize. After the withdrawal of US troops, the Democrat US Congress defunded support for South Vietnam, then the North violated the Treaty and invaded and conquered the South. Tremendous that these brave men and women are succeeding against Putin's invasion. I do hope that the euphoria does not lead to complacency. A cornered animal is often the most dangerous. This war is not over yet and I hope those leading the effort maintain a sober outlook. Well done, Ukraine 🇺🇦. God protect you all.

Boy that's really bad news for an army to run away and retreat like that, it tells a lot about their military discipline, and there will to fight! This is the most disturbing trend for any fighting force, also I was wondering the value of all that equipment that the Russians left behind, I had heard that Putin has burned through 85 billion dollars on this special operations debacle, I wonder can Russia sustain these type of numbers, coupled with the fact that, they continue to lose valuable battlefield equipment

They haven't had to defend yet. The only thing they've experienced so far is to blitzkrieg with overwhelming numbers and shell civilians from afar.

So, just curious. What would it take in terms of manpower, loss of troops, and funds to bring back that equipment? I would surmise the equipment will be claimed by Ukraine. Spoils of war would be part if the sacrifice made by Russia.

It is great that Ukraine has made progress, but, it is waaaay premature to be projecting a Ukrainian victory. In fact, it is ignorant to do so. Unfortunately, social media and even some main stream media love to make wild predictions based on very little information. I and my Ukrainian wife and son live in Kyiv. We are under no illusion that this war will end soon at all. I fully expect another full year, at least, of heavy fighting. At some point Putin will do a full mobilization.
@forkless

Agreed. this kind of overselling this progress only hurts long term financial and material support.
@Imnotcreative420
@Imnotcreative420 Рік тому
Lol full mobilization? Won't happen in a million years. Putin is losing his grip day by day, announcing a full mobilization would be a death sentence for him. Nobody is declaring victory, but every single accomplishment will be celebrated until the orcs finally flee once and for all. Those boys in blue and yellow on the ground need our support and well wishes, we celebrate their efforts.
@Imnotcreative420
@Imnotcreative420 Рік тому
@@forkless It has the exact opposite effect. It shows that our material support is doing fantastic at expelling the invaders, this shows our leadership that they are willing and able to utilize our material support to the fullest extent. In no way does this negatively effect foreign policy towards Ukraine.

@@Imnotcreative420 ...because that's how that works? When everything goes well beyond strategic and tactical objectives pour in more resources? While I would like to believe that will be true for the sake of Ukraine, I don't think that's quite rational, when that support is coming from 3rd parties.
