I think HBJ didn't need any bronze olympics cuz chinese's real target is gold olympics. In fact, sindhu isn't as consistent as TTY. She even got beaten by pornpawee chochuwong in SF AE 2021 in the midst of the absence of china, spain, south korea and taiwan

@Loving All TTY has better H2H against sindhu, however. She is also world no. 1 while sindhu never reaches world no.1. Beside that TTY's attitude is much better than sindhu even though TTY is the richest badminton player in 2021 for WS sector. He bing jiao was actually competitive. In fact, she beat okuhara who was unbeatable since her winning of both denmark open 2020 and all england 2021. But, she wasn't keen on bronze olympics so she just let sindhu win bronze olympics.
