Don't know about you but my life would be so damn boring if I was afraid to do the things I love because of possible injuries. Think about it this way...look at the 3 football sports - association (soccer/football), gridiron (american football) and rugby. ALL 3 of those sports involve contact where if you're hit wrong dislocated joints, compression fractures and concussions are possible and very likely. Live a little.

You can easily walk away from that with a permanent injury that in the case of rock climbing would end a career. Dives from that height do in fact require training or at least some sort of understanding of the human form. It's precisely this which makes Olympic dives so spectacular. Because you and I couldn't do what they do without injury. I guess... everyone is free to play stupid games as much as their heart desires it but then they shouldn't get surprised if they win stupid prizes? Is that ok to say?

Tbh I think that feature is really fucking cool. What bothered me personally is how the commentator egged them on, counting them down or yelling "jump"! Like, dude, you‘re a complete stranger to them, don’t act so familiar. They’re gonna jump, just let them do it at their own pace and at the height they are comfortable with.
