I remember 23 years ago, a man told me about this happened to him at some beach at Lompoc I thought he was crazy ,but I know believe hes story

That's really great to hear. I've only seen this on the Oregon Coast, but seems like it could happen in any dunes area with the right conditions.

Hopefully LE or someone was notified so that this area could be blocked off. I've heard of quicksand in coastal Alaska too.

Мне приходилось иметь дело с таким явлением в химической лаборатории. В чашке лежит твердое влажное белое вещество, когда надавливаешь на него ложечкой, оно расплывается в молоко. Перестаешь надавливать, опять твердое вещество. Это явление в химии называется тиксотропия

Thank you for your concern - it's important we don't show unsafe behavior as acceptable. There is plenty of amazing scenery to enjoy along the Oregon coast if we stay alert!
