The safety car for Red Bull was a godsend, and if it happened a few laps before, Max would’ve been lucky but deserving, especially because he was unlucky in previous races. But the FIA breaking their own rules to crown a new champion is beyond luck, and is a disgrace on this sport.

Nah, they know this was Lewis' fault. However, it was inevitable. Max bullied Lewis up until this point in the season with zero push back. He was even trying to do it on the Wellington Straight, 20 seconds before this crash - swerving and banging his wheels into Lewis. Lewis had to leave a wheel up the inside eventually to show that he wasn't going to roll over anymore, it would have just been preferable if it wasn't at 280kph.

@@blackhakeem23 That doesn't make sense, why would Charles then run off-track and wide, costing him so much time and losing the race winning position? That doesn't sound smart to me. Clearly, he avoided it because he did not want to end up like Max as he clearly saw how Lewis crashed Max out of the race.

If it didn’t happen at copse, it would’ve happened at Stowe or at turn 1, the collision was inevitable. Normally what we saw before silverstone was max being aggressive and Lewis taking the avoiding action, but here the aggression was reciprocated, since both were aggressive, the collision took place

i’m a fan of both, more a fan of verstappen, but i’m guessing lewis didn’t want another penalty so he didn’t do that again. maybe he learned his lesson
