In the chechen wedding, the groom does not take out his bride of her home but the brother or cousin of the groom does. If you see a man next to the bride on a chechen wedding thats not the groom. The groom is not present on the wedding

It is out of respect for your older male relatives not to show off that you are now becoming a "man" and a father maybe. Also the groom can't show himself to his father in law until a date is set AFTER the marriage to meet them a the girl's parents' house. That is the first time the girl's father sees his son in law. So when a girl is taken from her home it is done by the groom's brother or cousin and the groom sits in the backseat of one of the cars that came for the girl and the windows are not see through so nobody can see him. It may be strange for non chechens
