Rapper Meek Mill is calling for criminal justice reform just over a week after he was released from prison. Mill was granted bail after being sentenced in November 2017 to two to four years for probation violations.

We need a criminal record reset after 5 years of being clean. Fr fr it affects ppls lives ppl can’t get jobs ppl can’t travel with a criminal record so they go commit crimes to survive! If there was a criminal record reset of all misdeameanors and some felonies than after 5ish years people will actually be forced to be good and once those years are finished they’ll get a career job etc

Meek, I was sentenced to 6-30yrs in 1991. We are in 2018 and I still owe 3. Been on parole for over 17 and had to suffer from being sent back. I’m here if you need more back with this issue. Thanks for your voice my bro. 💯

Well said. The technical violations are whats wrong with probation. Its like your atomatically guilty. It shouldn't be a violation unless your convicted. Nor should you have to sit in jail untill time to face a judge.

I live in Philly and what most people don't know about this is Meek has been on probation for over ten years since he was 19. The slightest think can get your probation revoked. That's a lot of pressure and this needs to be reevaluated. I work in the field I see it every day.

There does need to be criminal justice reform laws in place. Now the two black men in that Starbucks case could still have those technical violations on their records even if it was the first arrest and they were falsely arrested. And he's right, it isn't fair.
