1st: Holywood was right with the pronounciation 2nd: Yes this guy in the back is Joakim from Sabaton, he also appeared at concert "Dark Night Carneval" in Japan 2018 during song 'Meta Taro' (Sabaton and Galactic Empire were opening acts for this concert in Japan) 3rd: In an interview Su-metal said, 'Oh! Majinai' is her favorite song from the 3rd Album. Mayby try 'Meta Taro' next? Stay safe, stay metal! 🦊🤘

Great reaction, this song is just fun. Apparently it is based on a Finnish polka, but the choreo definitely has some Irish influences - and yes that was Joakim Broden of Sabaton on the big screen at the back and providing the guest vocals. Sabaton opened for BABYMETAL at the Dark Night Festival in Japan in October 2018 and Joakim came on stage, with Darth Vador of Galactic Empire, to join BABYMETAL in their song 'Meta Taro'. Coincidentally Su said her favourite song from Metal Resistance was 'Meta taro' and her favourite from Metal Galaxy is 'Oh! Majinai' ... she seems to like folk metal. The Avengers have been performing for the whole sho during the tours, so one will do one show or maybe a few shows, another will come in for the next or the next few shows. At the really big shows (The Forum in LA and the Legend Metal Galaxy shows) they did swap out between songs - and at the Legend Metal Galaxy shows for the finale all 3 Avengers were on stage with Su and Moa.

Well put re the Avengers. In Seattle last year at barrier I got huge smiles from Momoko (And Su and Moa ofc). Momoko would have been my 1st choice at the time. Now (after just watching the latest SG Nendo 2019 Graduation clips) I'm thinking Kano then Momoko, then Riho - but the margins between the 3 are so small...

I still say it sounds like Pirate metal with the "Nai nai nai's", but thinking about it as Finnish polka sounds oddly correct with the song. That would certainly explain the accordion sounds in the song! Also, I wasn't going to do it because of the price for shipping, but I was able to go through a different web site to pre-order the Legend Metal Galaxy Blu Rays. I'm friggin' excited for next week!!

⚡ 💕 / 🏴 ☠️ Generally they have the same avenger (supporting dancer) for an entire concert. They did alternate between Momoko and Riho every few songs for the album release concert at the LA Forum. The LEGEND - METAL GALAXY concerts in January 2020 had all three (Kano, Riho and Momoko) alternate, except for a few songs when all three were on stage with Su and Moa at the same time. Other than that, it's been 1 avenger per concert. So far Kano has appeared in 5 shows, all in Japan. Although many of these were recorded, and quite a few were used in music videos. Riho has appeared in 27 shows. Momoko has been in 29.

Babymetal and Marilyn Manson have actually met, in one interview they went into a bit more detail. Marilyn Manson had a dressing room on stage, the inside was completely black. Normally not many people are allowed in his dressing room, so it's cool Marilyn Manson did so. Actually, the switching of the 'replacement girls' called Avengers only happens at big shows, at smaller shows it's just one of them that performs. The big shows I think they do it because the girls just want to all be part of the big show and part of the recording Blu-ray. :-) These girls have been 'protected' from the fame and allowed to be kids. Even being kids was kind of part of the concept. Michael Jackson became so big he got of the track later in life.

It would be pretty funny watching Su try a southern drawl with her accent. :D I thought. if there was any song you might not like. it might be Oh Majinai. That one has a fair amount of dislikes, although I think people have warmed up to it since they could see the choreography. I have always liked it a lot. I'm betting I am not the only one that instantly thought of Moa the moment you started talking about steak and filet mignon. :)

Actually "The Avengers" alternate different shows. Plus Riho and Su have know each other at least 7 years before Babymetal/Sakura Gakuin existed.

Gotta agree with you guys - this is an Irish style dance. I wasn't sure about this song until I went to see Babymetal in Feb on their European tour and, 10 seconds into this song, found myself jumping up and down, yelling "Nai, nai, nai, nai, nai, nai..." along with everyone else. Like you say, they can do anything and they always do it well. I know you've listened to the audio of BxMxC (a permanent feature on my phone) but you'd love the live version, which is only on fan cams but there's one with excellently adjusted audio and it is one hell of a live performance. Slight correction, the Avengers don't rotate between songs. One of them would usually go on tour for the whole leg of that tour, US, UK-Europe, until they had them all together in Japan this year. You will get more detail from the more knowledgeable soon I'm sure. For me personally this isn't a favourite and I wouldn't usually even watch a reaction video, but it's Babymetal Monday and I couldn't not watch this weeks episode :-)

Kano never left Japan but Riho and Momoko both go overseas on a leg and rotate between shows, or one starts the leg and the other finishes it

ok guys "From Dusk Til Dawn" there are only a few fan cams of it, but it is another killer track very different from all their other songs.Hey if you guys wanna do something special there is a video called " An Unhelpful Guide to BABYMETAL" it will give you a good history lesson on Babymetal, it is like 40 minutes long but it goes by so fast and you will learn almost everything about them from 2010 up til 2020.

Other famous musicians who've worked with or had a guest appearance with Babymetal: Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the guys from Dragonforce, and Alissa White-Gluz from Arch Enemy & The Agonist. Since the video part of this is a compilation from multiple shows on the Metal Galaxy Tour, you're able to see two of the three Avengers at various points in the video. Just a few examples, if you play back your reaction video (not the original video), Momoko is the first to appear, and Riho first appears at the 4:58 mark. And Kano is the Avenger in the Pa-Pa-Ya video. Just to give you a reference for which is which.

The Avengers do not swap out at every song, but most of time at least 2 perform at a concert. As I understand it, it is a matter of physical conditioning. a little trivia; Marilyn Manson and Babymetal were performing at the same festival (?). Manson has a trailer he at concerts where he is performing that is his private abode that no-one is allowed in, EXCEPT when meeting Su, Moa and Yui they were invited in to his abode. To be a fly on the wall, huh. My guess is they met Brian Hugh Warner and talked seriously about the music business, being famous and the good and bad thereof.

It was one Avenger per show on the tours, however at The Forum Riho and Momoko were both there and doing two or three songs each before swapping, at Legend Metal Galaxy all 3 were taking turns each doing a couple of songs at a time. Good trivia with Marilyn Manson, I forgot to add that in my own comment.

@@Grington300 they met Manson at Summer Sonic in 2015. I remember from one interview (I think a Japanese interview) where they mentioned he had his own on-stage dressing room and the inside was all black. And later heard that normally nobody gets to visit his dressing room.

Watching these is really fun. Another great international metal band is Bloodywood. They're from India and absolutely amazing. Jee Veerey is their best but you can't go wrong with any of their originals.

They never DIRECTLY worked with him but Rob Zombie toured with them and he avidly defends them when people insult them. He posted a picture with them on Facebook and someone said something negative and he came back with what the hell have you done? It's great.

They write a song on their next album about bubblegum and give it one of the hardest breakdowns they've had. I love that attitude. Great, catchy song. I like the above link because it's a live show and not a compilation.

Yui has always been the best dancer from the original three. ;) The Avengers are mighty fine too! It's just that as Su said it, nobody can replace Yui. Hence, the current setup. (At least that's what I think). Try Up, Down, Left, Right BBAB. META Taro or Night Night Burn. ;)

One thing that seems apparent is that every musician who comes into contact with Babymetal seems to love them. Sabaton and Galactic Empire opened for them and all the guitarists from Galactic Empire backed them in the 2019/2020 tour and Sabaton did this collab. On the other hand they're very young and pretty. What Metal band wouldn't want to be around them? I'm not saying people only like them because they're cute girls and they want to smash them. But it does add something.

I would say react next to "From Dusk Till Dawn." In my opinion this is THE most underrated Babymetal song. It’s just so ethereal, different, and cool. Also, it’s also a rare treat for English-speaking fans because Su-Metal sings it entirely in English. This song was only available on the international version of Metal Resistance and not on the regular Japanese version. I have linked a lyric video to this since good quality live performances of this are really hard to find. Seen this live it was great my feet got stomped to hell . The fans where bouncing up and down like idiots. The song reminds me of the old sea shanties sailor's use to sing . Just thought i mention Sabaton opened for them in Dark Night Carnival show in Japan. Also Joakim joined them on stage with Darth Vader as well for Meta Taro . Also they met Marilyn Manson on his request at a festival they where both performing at i belive in the US .

1 minor correction. For the most part, the Avengers rotate out show to show rather than song to song. Some of the bigger shows over the past year have had more than one (with Legend Metal Galaxy having all 3 on stage at the same time), but for the most part, you'll only get 1 Avenger per show. For example, for the European tour this year, it was Momoko travelling with them. Having more than one person to fill the 3rd slot just gives more flexibility when it comes to scheduling. To date, Kano has only done 5 shows with Babymetal, all in Japan. It seems like more because 3 music vids were filmed at just one show where she happened to be the Avenger. The bulk of "Avenging" has been done by Riho and Momoko as they are both older and have more freedom to travel and Kano was also busy with Sakura Gakuin and @onefive activities as well as school.

Well, the graduation ceremony finally happened, so that takes Sakura Gakuin activities off her schedule (and next year will be the last of Sakura Gakuin altogether), and Kano is now the age Momoko was when they both joined BabyMetal, but I'm sure it'll be a while yet before there's any touring going on again. I guess we'll just have to see how things go.

On the European leg (cut short b6 the pandemic) the third BM dancer was Riho in Scandinavia, and Momoko from Glasgow onwards in the U.K. and Continental Europe. I could be wrong, but I think it’s Riho here. The music might be considered Pirate Metal.
