it's probably because of the strict rules, so players are more cautious. but even then, i don't think it excuses them of terrible tackling technique lol it doesn't make sense, right? best players in the nation but don't know how to wrap up properly
@JumpOffBiggSean

Thank you Ray, for telling it like it is, defenses are terrible this year. And he's right, I'm not seeing the communication I usually see from LB's. Luke Kuechly comes to mind when I think about the last great communicating LB I've seen. It's just like in basketball, call out the pick!
@Corey41929
@Corey41929 3 роки тому
Reality is the physicality in 2020 has declined defensively. Dbs have no interfesteing in tackling and teams wanting smaller linebackers to compensate for a more pass happy era has resulted in linebackers getting bullied in the run game more and more
@qp1539
@qp1539 3 роки тому
@@Corey41929 I have been noticing that too. Teams would rather have big strong safety playing in the box, rather than an actual run stopping linebacker. I understand the game has been changing and become a pass league, but good run defense is still important, which can be seen through this film.
