So naturally most of these fights were a lot quicker than before and some were much harder due to enemy magic resistance.

I wonder how long it took to learn not only attack patterns but how each boss reacts to magic and if they can dodge it and their resistances? I find it kind of strange that the Soul of Cinder would be most affected by pyromancies.

I actually really like how the magic balance is in DSIII, yeah it's cray at SL450+ regardless of your NG level but on just an NG it's pretty fair and certain fights are still best done with melee (it's just that you use a Crystal/Chaos weapon or Moonlight).

Not even, tbh Magic has been severely nerfed in DS3 to the point where it's just pitiful. All the equipment to make magic even slightly better than a +1 rapier is found late-game. How to destroy a game is upgrading Estoc to 10 and staggering everything since poise is working as intended

You forgot how you have to put in around 60 points of intelligence to make magic even remotely viable. The bosses are far too aggressive for you to even cast a spell, let alone how there's zero option to improve cast time. The rings, the spells, and a decent staff are found so late in the game that doing a magic build is basically gimping yourself. I don't know what you did, or if you're lying but magic is absolute shit in both PvE and PvP, Don't call it balanced at all when any STR/Dex weapon has more damage than your spells.

Kompriel Meemurr i have a build with 50 int and i use a moonlight in the right hand. with a crystal soul spear with all the items needed you can do 1050 damage

he just farms like crazzy so he can reach soul level 300 or more, he is too op with this character. You could say that he is as powerfull as a hacker. in my opinion, not skilled, just buffed up character with a ton of big stats :(((

what rings and buff spells are you using? i can only get up to 770 damage with CSS not the 1950 you were (current sl 318, INT 52, FTH 52)

I like, how it says "MAGIC VERS." but on the bosses with magic resist Ray uses pyromancy. Was it too long to defeat Crystal Sage or Aldrich with sorceries? Even for Ray?

Sorry to reply soo late in this post but...actually the witch of izalith used what was called "fire magic". Btw what is used by our characters is more like a new version of that magic born after she tried to reproduce the first flame. Anyway in ds1 you can't use the witch's catalyst to cast pyromancies so I guess they shouldn't be considered magic

Me: I should spend these 40K souls in case I die and loose them. Maybe it's just one level and an upgrade or 2 but still On death: GOD.... I should have spent these souls Ray: 40 million souls seem a correct ammount of soul to carry On death: Well I don't care im already max level and I beat the game 40 times a day. Still, I should try to use buff to fist Yhorm to death...

what i dont understand is, pontif isnt a hollow, oceiros is rabid. Your character shouldve had a choice to TALK to them. Have them not agree and fight, but at least some sense of humanity in them. Also, Lothric, he offers to let you go and just let the age of fire die. Have that be a pivotal moment to have an exchange of dialogue between you and lothric, and in the middle of it, have Lorian intervene, and initiate the fight.

50-60 int for soul spear, 30 faith for pyro, vow of silence (for aldrich, kill him with storm ruler), rapport (to farm winged knights at archives). either 50 dex or sage ring. also chaos bed vestige for pyro.

I know I'm late but the crystal staff is the strongest staff with the magic buff while court sorcerer's staff is the strongest without the buff. So if you're gonna buff then crystal staff is the way to go 😊
