Actually I had no choice as I was a kid. The discussion has been made for me.

I feel you. I remember my village in Belarus. Good times. I often miss it, the freedom and simple life. Running barefoot everyday, waking up to roosters, watching the cows, running fields and hills in the rain, playing in the woods, fishing, enjoying the smallest things like warm milk and syrup mixed with water, fruits and veggies, home made bread, home made butter and sugar on top, :) dried fish and so on. All the things I do not like anymore. Bread with butter and sugar on top? Gross! What was I thinking? lol Now I miss it but I didn't make the choice to leave it. First a few years I dreamed of going back, I missed it so much. When I visited the village in 2008 after 10 years of not being there, I felt so happy. I miss it all the time but I could never go back and live there, because my life has changed a lot. I can only miss it. It just felt magical, too good to be true, too childhood. Going back there won't be the same. P.s. I didn't drink vodka but I did drink beer since I was 4. Idk how, that stuff is gross to me now.

I feel you brat) I myself used to live in Russia 3 years ago, but my family decided to move to America due to political corruption, but I miss it a lot. Of course there are better standards of living in America, but I still feel like I am a Russian and not an American. I go to school here and have some friends, but it is nothing like in Russia. People overall here are very different, in a bad way for me.

Sorry you feel that way. How are they different in the US? Your English is very good for someone who just moved 3 years ago, so I doubt you have any communication problems. I lived in Russia before and unfortunately I did not like it there. There was way too much racism and bullying. In US I enjoyed going to school, and despite the whole slavery BS that ppl tend to bring up, racism here has not been at that level wherever I lived. Also, I haven't faced any bullying in US because it's less common here. In fact, it's normally limited to verbal or cyber. Not actual, blood involved, beating and other extremely cruel ways. It always depends on the areas.
