Realme GT 5G | Unboxing & Full Tour

Unboxing the Realme GT 5G, that 2021 flagship smartphone which hasn't made it to the UK/Europe yet, with a hands-on review of the gaming chops, camera tech and other features.
Boasting a Snapdragon 888 chipset and Vapor Chamber cooling, the Realme GT 5G can cope with any Android game out there. The camera tech isn't as advanced as some flagships, with no telephoto lens for instance, but it can capture detailed everyday snaps. And that Super AMOLED screen is sharp and punchy.
However, because this was an import, I had to install Google Play myself - and there's no support for Netflix streaming etc yet. Battery life is respectable but not the best around, while Realme UI is packed with bonus features on top of Android 11.

Hey there, I'm hesitating between this gem and the Asus ZenFone 8. Which one should I get ? Finally, I bought the Asus on Tuesday, the week before. I just love it ! Small, but not bulky, and very light. Feels like an iPhone, but on Android. Almost same back, almost same camera box, somebody who doesn't pay attention can't say the difference. And it's very powerful, but pay attention to the battery configuration, if not as dynamic the battery goes from top to zero in 2 hours.

With the 888 I expect it's out of my budget - pensioner, fixed budget, poverty. If it somehow was in my budget would i consider it? Not really. Excellent phone and touches most bases but ... And there's the rub, that but. Good first look and a look into your hidden world of where you find your anime wallpapers. They don't do it for me but I occasionally read other people's comments and some of your subscribers really luuuurve the anime wallpaper so yay. Keep up the good work

Why does the screen seems to blink or have a ton of scans?. Does it happens when watching the phone without seen from another camera (like in the vid above) ? Would this be a worthy successor from my Galaxy S7 (even though you sacrifice the MicroSD)?. Purposes are photos and vids (1080p60FPS) and gaming and FB/TW/Whatsapp/etc

yeah id like this to come to the Uk. I've got a really old phone, repaired it twice and its stuck together with superglue now haha. However its was a premium phone when i bought it 5 years ago and does most things well. Id only be tempted to buy a new one if the price is right and the features are noticeably better, this just about slots into that category I think. I don't think id buy a new flagship again, cant really justify the prices to myself anymore.

Better make sure the S20 FE's touchscreen issues are already fixed before getting one. Samsung said Feb onwards units are not affected, but it's hard to really trust Samsung anymore. Not after they said last year the issues can be fixed with software updates, but so far 5 updates still cant fully fix it.

Love these videos but... I bought a realme x50 pro recently and tried to send it back because it was faulty and there began the absolute worst customer service experience of my life. It was like realme actually trained it's staff to be obtuse and ignorant because I just don't think incompetence like that can happen by accident. I live in the UK and they actually had me return my phone to a French repair center where it was rejected because it was supposed to go to the UK return centre, of course. I have been trying to return the phone for around a month now. Still waiting for my refund. I really would not bother with them at all. There are so many other problems with the customer service that I could go on for ages!!
