The Realme GT Neo 2 is powered by the Snapdragon 870, same as the Poco F3, so gamers can blast through titles like PubG and Genshin Impact no worries. The 64MP primary camera can capture decent looking photos as long as the lighting is good, as well as 4K video. You have a 5000mAh battery, so the Realme GT Neo 2 can happily survive a super long day with plenty of gaming and camera play. And that AMOLED screen, with Samsung tech, is nice for the price.
Speaking of price, I don't know the exact UK cost as this hands-on review goes live, but I'm hoping the phone will be strong competition to the OnePlus Nord 2, Poco F3 and other big mid-rangers.

I've been using it since mid october, haven't noticed any problems except for the borderline camera, minor heating issues (but its brand new so can't say about long term) and the display cut out (it lacks the vibe). All the rest has been covered in the video.💯

@@hichemegnima2921 that thing under the macro lens is an ambient light sensor. Apparently this device has a 360° dual ambient light sensors to understand ambient light precisely to automatically adjust the screen's brightness level.

@@3ovggg since I have the 12/256 gb variant I haven't faced any problems while using any app or system interference. The only problem is that it reaches ~42°C in the first game even in low graphics settings and above 46° in high graphics. This amount of heat is crazy in the hands, I haven't had the guts to play more than two consecutive COD rounds yet. You'll notice about 2° drop when in AC room. Plus the camera module is super old. Primary cam is just okish, the rest are 🤢. So if you're looking for a gaming or camera phone I would absolutely not recommend it but if you'd like a powerful device in your hands that is capable of every task then I'd highly recommend it, considering I bought it for 31k INR ~395 USD

Just got this phone yesterday. Before I was using a low-end but long enduring Motorola from 2017, so it's a major step up. I was also considering getting the Poco F3 at first, but after reading some reviews about the Realme GT Neo2, mentioning its smooth and simple OS, better camera, higher ram, faster charger and beefier battery, decided to go with this one instead, as it cost nearly the same with my phone plan. And I have to say, this phone does not disappoint. I also went with the black version because I just don't care about looks and prefer a more subtle and sleek design.

I normally tend to buy last gen Samsung flagships for my kids because of the longer security updates, but the benchmarks you showed for this phone aren't far off my s21 ultra so this tempts me for my teenage son's upgrade. realme 9 pro plus has better camera but worse memory storage (ufs 2.2 vs 3 1). nord 2 has worse battery and poco f3 has bad proximity sensor

Just wanted to ask if you sure it has a glass back...i mean it looks like plastic and on gsm arena its being mentioned as plastic aswell...its already overpriced, but in case it has not only plastic frames but also plastic back, it will be an even bigger failure...So just make this clear please...Other than that, amazing review and an amazing phone...but clearly far overpriced :)

What did you buy in the end? I’m planning to go for GT just because I can’t stand Samsung’s stupid Bixby and useless trashy clone apps of calls/messages etc. Just don’t want to deal with that shit. Samsung has water and dust resistance though, it would help a lot since I work in pizzeria. Nevertheless - Realme feels better.

I would say the camera is very similar looking and bout the battery also doesn't really make any difference but i would probably go for the gt neo 2 since the gt using the 888 Snapdragon that consume more power than the 870 , plus point based on my experience , you cannot tell any difference in terms of performance for those two chips. And 870 is more stable than the 888
