I’m so happy she’s talking about *giving away* her virginity so late. (Can we please stop saying “lost?” It sounds like something we have no choice in). Regardless if you’re religious or not, liberal or conservative, queer or het, I think we can all agree that we live in an oversexed society. At the end of the day, it’s just the patriarchy saying we should all have no boundaries and be available to any and everyone at all times. There could be many reasons she waited. Could be that she just didn't want to, or didn't like anyone enough to, self esteem... I was 24 because I didn't feel comfortable with anyone to, I was really shy. So I didn't get that far in relationships. Everyone does things for thier own reasons. Two things about this- Choosing when to lose your virginity is a personal choice and no one should feel ashamed of when it happens or feel the need to hide it. If anything, by her sharing it, she's showing other people who are choosing to wait, that it's ok and they're not alone. The other thing about this is that she learned, as well as I have witnessed myself and in friends, often when you have a dream, the most of the people you love and care about won't support you. Grab onto the ones that do and start that journey if it's what makes your heart happy! We need more support of each other in this world! I already loved Rebel and this makes me respect her so much more.

Hey! I know all about malaria delirium.😂😂 Had it like a dozen times growing up. It's refreshing to see it can yield something positive. Malaria is seen as such a deadly disease around the world but to us in the tropics, it's not a big deal. I guess because the medication is cheap and it's not so debilitating if treatment starts early.
