I peer out my bedroom window as crisp morning air permeates the hillside. Dew gently drips from the tree’s coloured fray to tell of spring’s arrival. Fog drifts meekly through the valley to greet the light beyond the sky’s overcast hue as the town’s workers arise for their shifts at the IRD building. The Interdimensional Research Division was established here in the lush secrecy of the mountainside before my Grandfather was born, each generation a successor to its last. It’s peaceful here… until it’s not.
