The bravest warriors of Poland was winged hussars and then uhlans/ułani.
@user-jb3iu8tu1o2 роки тому
@@apocalypse-now5540 Of course they were exceptional warriors, here is something about the origin of the Hussars. After the Ottoman conquest of Serbia in the late 14th Century many Serbian refugees fled into southern Hungary. The Regent-Governer John Hunyadi needed light cavalry to counter the Ottoman Sipahi, so he hired Serbian mercenaries who used similar tactics and equipment. During the 15th Century, hussars were employed as mercenaries in European wars, with some countries raising their own units in emulation of the Hungarian-Serbians. In 1503, the Kingdom of Poland hired three banners mercenaries as hussars and soon after began recruiting Poles into their ranks. The etymology of the word Hussar is attributed both to the Serb and the Hungarian languages. Serb: usar or gusar - means a horseman/ warrior or corsair Hungarian: huszar - fiefdoms Briefly, The original hussars were Serbian exiles/mercenaries

@@user-jb3iu8tu1o Fairy tales of a people - the Serbs - who for 500 years were the submissive slaves of the Ottoman Empire. Fairy tales of the only Slavic people - the Serbs - who voluntarily offered themselves to the Ottomans as slaves. Because in the Battle of the Blackbird Field (Kosovo) a Serbian military leader betrayed his own ruler, his Serbian brothers and the Christian army. This Serb defected to the Ottomans with the troops under his command (as agreed with the Sultan). When the battle for the Christians was almost won, the Serb committed the betrayal, defected to the Turks and we (my ancestors were there) lost the battle. Today, the Serbs, the submissive slaves of the Turks, present themselves as protectors of the West. They betrayed us. And as for the hussars, the Serbs have never been horse people, the Serbs have never been riders. They are pedestrians in contrast to the Cossacks and other Slavic equestrian peoples. The term Cossacks (Russian: Каза́ки́, Kazaki; Ukrainian: Козаки́, Kozaki; Polish: Kozacy) is applied to specific militaristic communities of various ethnicities living in the southern steppe regions of Ukraine and Russia.

Cossack, kozak name is coming from kassog-kassogian ancient circassian tribe
@vladabocanek3703Рік тому
In times before Bolshevic revolution, cossacks were sent to setry around borders of Russian empire. The only condicion to join cossacks was to became orthodox (russian) cristian. So there were Zhaporizian cossacks, Krym cossacks, even sibiran cossacks.

This is a Ukrainian Kosak song, sung in Ukrainian.The first line refers to the Kosak going beyond the "Dunai" Slavic word for the Danube river. The Danube was the western boundary of the Russian empire. By crossing the Danube he was leaving the country! when the Russians destroyed the Ukrainian Kosak fortress on the Dnieper to get rid of them,many Kosaks fled the country,entering Turkey for sanctuary. The Kosak is fleeing for his life. He laments that he is leaving his girl forever.

This seems extremely similar to Hej Sokoły in the sense of a cossack lamenting that he has left Ukraine and his girl forever.
