Repeat after me: It's not a rip-off, it's a retelling of an old story. If you're still calling it rip-off, then by your logic Disney is one big rip-off. And we all know that's not true.

Okay for those who are wondering, a few years ago there was an advertisement for this movie that prompted fat shaming and it got a lot of bad rep. Of course that is not how this movie turns out, it was just either miscommunication or the fault of the advertisement department. The movie has such a wonderful message and is really worth the watch, so if you have the time please watch it. 💕

I saw the video explaining the misunderstanding because of the awful advertising, now I can't wait to watch this!

This movie is really great guys! It got bad press but it's really about accepting who you are (red shoes) and learning true meaning of beauty/flaws (dwarfs/fantastic 7) the soundtrack is great also!

Losing weight and becoming more attractive in a few seconds is the most K-DRAMA thing ever!

If you think something wrong with her being skinny in the movie, then you are the same with people who called fat people wrong. There is no better version of her. Both are perfect.

I'm so excited they released it digitally! It's such a cute movie, with the voice acting and the character designs. Really a shame about the scandal, given the direction the story takes (though to be fair I was one of those super skeptical watchers who thought, based on the old trailers, it'd be more raunchy then it was). Definitely one of my fav comfort movies!

I think this is a really good movie! It has an amazing message and wonderful characters. I especially love Merlin and Snow White/ Red Shoes. I think this movie would have been popular if it wasn't for bad advertising. THERE IS NO FAT SHAMING IN THIS MOVIE! It's actually the opposite. Snow White/ Red Shoes actually loves her real self compared to her magical/skinny self, she is not at all insecure about herself. In fact, I love how confident she is about herself. Merlin is probably the most insecure character in this movie. He is all about appearances and good looks. He thinks the only positive characteristic he has is his handsome face. Like, he thinks people only like him because he is a handsome prince. That being said, he is a narcissistic and self-centred character. But still, he is an interesting and enjoyable character, too.

OMG, how have I not heard about this film coming out until now? And to think it’s already out as well. The animation certainly isn’t as good as what you might get as an industry standard these days, but it’s still pretty fluid and appealing to the eye. Will definitely have to check this one out.
