I will never forget this man, the lessons he taught me, but also the lessons he taught himself. He wanted to be great and he wanted to learn, but I donβt think he will ever have thought just how many people he has influenced. You as well as Mr. Thompson have single-handedly been the inspiration of, essentially my life. I loved watching his videos as well as yours learning the process of engineering and eventually found in interest in the field my self. Last July, I was devastated to hear about his death. I didn't know the connection you had with him. He inspired many including me and his legacy will live on!

Grant's life reminded me of that line in the movie "The World's Fastest Indian" when Burt (Anthony Hopkins) says, "You live more in five minutes...going flat out than some people live in a lifetime." Grant seemed to live life to the fullest. See you in the next life brother.

I cannot believe I am just finding out about this. I watched Grant when his channel was just starting to grow. I watched him hours at a time.. a few months ago, I was recommended a video for The King of Random. I was confused as to why he wasnβt in the videos anymore. He taught me how to be myself and make an inspiration to me. He made me have fun into things that I don't even like. I remember all the video's in the past that he did. Manthan Shah even his own channel hasnβt uploaded in a couple of days and the things they did upload are short and donβt say much. I canβt imagine how they must feel. Seeing tributes to him on random channels I find and follow makes my heart smile. He was so wholesome and amazing.

I don't really know him that well, but based on Thompson's reputation, damn...that is such a tragic loss. Well that's super sad for sure, all his accolades and his very cool videos and all the passion he brought would make me interested in something I never would ordinarily be interested in ..... all the risk taking to make it amazing and put the entertainment value to the max .... on top of educational value and learning something all the while shows what a special person he was and how much more we will miss him! My question is, since he was also a man of morals, is there something we can learn from him? Does his passing have to be tragic? I'm just a no connection viewer, no ties.

I feel the same. I have been watching and enjoying your's and Grant's channels. I feel like both of you are my friends too. I'm also in Broward. I took his death harder than I would expect, as if we were good friends. You Tube seems more personal than if a TV star passes. Maybe because we have the same interests? I don't know.
