I have a problem with the soft touch finish pealing on my Monte Carlo center console and mildly on the dash / gauge cluster trim I want to get it down to the bare plastic so I can re coat it back to the soft touch finish but I have noooooo idea what product to use I was thinking about using that Plasti coat/dip spray and a friend suggested that I could try spaying light coats of flexseal but I'm not sure about those ideas do you have any suggestions great video btw thanks for posting this 👍 and subscribed

Thanks for the video. Your 70% isopropyl alcohol worked better then I expected. I credit your results to your green pad. I Just soak removable parts in 91% isopropyl alcohol over knight or for larger parts use lots of rags soaked in 91% isopropyl alcohol. Comes off easy as pie (3.1415926535897932384626433832795028841971693993751058209... I guess pie is not that easy), It has to be 91% or higher or it will not work as well. When I am done I use stainless steel appliance coating for keep is shining. VDub Love from Chicago

Just hot water and concentrated dishwasher into a can and let it soak for 5 minutes and remove it with a kitchen regular scotch brite. It goes off easily.

MRL O Some trim will grey, some won't. It's more the sanding pad than then alcohol that will cause it to grey.

Vinyl wrap it. Or plasti dip it or spray paint it.

Renault decided to use this shit on the climate control panel of my car so scotch pads are out of the question. I don't want to rub off the writing on the buttons. 🤦♂️

@notfromsparta The panel is bonded to the climate control unit. It would be a pain to sort it
