Ok so the build is amazing, but I'm more impressed by Mathis! He welds, doess carpentry, knows bodywork, knows mechanics, designs, paints... Chapeau!

I know how to do about 3/4s of the projects it took to transform this vehicle, but I’m almost 60. To have the ability to remake this vehicle to this high of quality at your age simply amazes me. Well done sir! Beautiful work.

I did not imagine how much I would love watching this video for almost two hours. There were times I forgot that you were filming it and I wasn't just magically transported to your workshop. Imagining setting up the camera for each shot is a MASSIVE undertaking let alone the actual build process. Thank your for restoring the defender and taking us all on the journey with you. Spätestens mit diesem Video sollte jeder/jedem klar sein, das mit U-Tube sein Geld zu verdienen nicht so einfach ist 😜 Als Content Provider muss man nicht nur irgendwas tun was andere lustig/spannend/interessant finden, man muss auch IMMER auf den richtigen Kamerawinkel, Musik und vieles mehr achten … und anschließend wahrscheinlich, wie hier zu sehen, Material für Stunden und Stunden … produzieren… Mit anderen Worten… Man ist…. Kamera Mann/Frau… Schauspieler… Toningenieur… Ausleuchter… Setdesigner… und Regisseur in einer Person UND man muss regelmäßig liefern … sonst sind die Kunden schnell wieder weg … und Ideen muss man auch noch haben … Klingt alles doch wie ne Menge Arbeit… In diesem Fall kann sich das Ergebnis sehen lassen… 💪 … PS. Manchmal frage ich mich ja wieviele Kameras gleichzeitig laufen … man könnte fast denken, mehr als DREI ..?🤔

Unglaublich! Habe ein 110er Projekt angefangen, dass ich auch vollumfänglich restaurieren wollte. Nach dem mir am Unterbau aber 10 von 10 Schrauben abgerissen sind habe ich mir nur noch auf die Achsen und die Karosse konzentriert. Du musst wirklich Nerven aus Stahl haben, das alles so konsequent durchgezogen zu haben!! :D Respekt!!

Have been contemplating buying and restoring a 2001 110 and on seeing this video I realise I don’t have the skills, knowledge, time, patience, space or tooling to do even half of what you’ve done. Simply fantastic. Great editing too. Would love to see another video with you talking about the restorationin more detail critical points, advice, time, rough costings etc.
