Sometimes old cabinets just need a little restoration to bring them back to life. I found two old metal cabinets at a garage sale for $100 and decided to give them a little TLC. First I sanded the metal cabinet with 120 grit sand paper and then gave it some black paint. Repurposed a old IKEA cabinet for the top and we have a shop cabinet that looks great and didn’t cost much. Let me know what you guys think of this transformation. #shorts

What did you do first, before spray-painting? The video is so quick, I couldn’t tell if you were smoothing the surface first, or sanding it...? Have been thinking of painting the metal cover of my electrical panel, which seems like a similar metal to the cabinet.

so i just sanded the surface with 120 grit and and primered the surface. you just want to scuff it a bit so the primer has a chance to grab onto the panel your working on. hope that helps

No lung protection from dust or paint overspray. Saw vaccuum pipe at pencil table - nice. Stay healthy and make more wonderful videos for all of us.

I know this video is a little old, but I have the exact same cabinets, down to the same color. I'm going to do the same, but paint them craftsman toolbox red with black drawers. The repurposing of a bookshelf for the top is a great idea. I'm wondering if you had to replace any of the drawer handles and if you did, where did you find them. I think I have 5 or 6 drawers that need replacements. Thanks.

the larger videos take a long time to finish, film and edit. there are a lot of smaller projects that i do in between the big ones that i cant share in full detail because of time restrains. Im sorry your disappointing, these shorter videos are to share some of the progress that normally wouldn't make it at all. The regular full video content is still in production and will continue as normal. Just figured some people can still get something from the shorter stuff. thanks for your input Frank, its sways great to hear what people are thinking abouch new things im trying, and its much appreciated.

@@KomarProject I think these shorts are pretty good. They're interesting to see and I love seeing the final product. Though I'm not really into this field so maybe that impacts my experience compared to other viewers...😅
