With Russia in a war in the Ukraine and the West sanctioning Iran it will be difficult for Iran to repair/replace its radar. Iran will need to turn to China for its air defense needs, but China is already selling parts and equipment to Russia for its war. This leaves Iranian air defense weakened. The Iranian air force is outdated and based on American jets which it cannot maintain, leaving Iran in a very difficult position.
