The paper tag is an RFID tag, so the system simply tracks what antenna last saw the tag.

@@hectorchacon8882 I don't understand what you mean. The paper RFID tag has a UID. The antennas query the tag for its UID. If the UID matches the known ID, the location is updated.

Hi! Do you have the information to do an RFID target like this? I'm usign BLE (Bluetooth LE) but i'm getting tired with that to do IPS because the error is about 2m or less. I read that the RFID is the best for IPS but there isn't information for that. What do you recomended to me, trying with another method or keep using the BLE. I suppose that your map was made in autocad or something like that, and then you uploaded to the cloud or a host, that information can be also usefull to me. Thank you beforehand.

HiEskStan. With RFID it really depends on your budget. I've used some readers from Impinj that give you the X/Y co-ordinates of a RFID tag to within a meter, but they are really expensive. If you are on a budget, stick with BLE. Regarding the map, yes it was a JPEG export from autocad, then we just use it as a background for the HTML canvas

However, I can say that a material that you can use a lot, and there are a lot of models of it, it's esp32 for BLE applications. You can find a lot of applications using it here or in a lot of places. Sorry for not providing a lot of info, as I said, I left it 3 years ago...

I worte the "map software" , basically by embedding the map in a html element and updating it as tag positions changed

Hi Bruno. unfortunately not, it's a system built for and owned by my employer. But the tech it's built on is open source, and I can list them, with many thanks to the developers of these open source projects: - the back end is powered by nideJS - the front-end is powered by angular JS and Google's Material Design Lite - sync and real time updates is handled by pouchDB - the map and moving avatars I built from scratch using HTML5 canvas

The system is very cool. How do you map the location of the RFID antenna to the floor plan? What kind of location data do you store in the system? I am very interested in this system.
